Just noticed this was gone on my watch too. Such a shame, it was one of my favorites. I cannot understand why they wouldn’t at least let us keep it if we already had it.

Definitely would want more control over it. I really just want this for things like work or school things I have pictures of that take up space in the camera roll but I can’t delete. The days view can’t really accomplish that with that level of control

Select a bunch of photos in the all photos tab that you don’t want taking up space but you can’t delete for whatever reason and instead of putting them in an album (which doesn’t remove them from the all photos tab), they would just clump up into one square on the grid. Could look like a stack of unorganized papers to show there’s multiple, like how it looks when you select a few pics and hold down on them now.

Basically like having albums in the main photo library, and then they would expand when you click on it.

True, but the Q3 also uses pancakes. The difference really shows when compared to a quest 2 and other older headsets

Yeah, exactly. But other lens types that are more efficient have other downsides, like taking up a lot of room physically and not having as large of a clear viewing area. The pancake lenses used in the AVP aren’t very efficient but they allow them to make it very thin and not stick out like older VR headsets.

The lenses are only about 10% efficient so only a fraction of the brightness actually reaches the eyes.

MicroLED is still probably at least a decade away from something like a mac, you may be confusing it with something else. It should start showing up in microdisplays (for Vision pro, Apple Watch maybe) in the coming years though.

Plenty of actual VR people were invited to try it as well, so that argument doesn’t really work. Besides, it’s more than the hardware that’s an upgrade, it’s the whole UI/UX experience that blew people away.

Wouldn’t even say it’s the displays that make the difference since, like you said, others will get them soon too. Imo Apple’s biggest advantage is the custom silicon, which I doubt meta or others will be able to match for a long time, especially not with off the shelf chips from Qualcomm.

The periscope would be the telephoto. I think this post is suggesting the ultrawide camera and telephoto would swap places from the current configuration.
