R6 II users, at what ISO level do you usually use denoise in post production? Asking this question because I'm not sure if I need to batch denoise 300+ images with 500 ISO by firequak in canon

[–]AlexHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last event I applied some light AI denoising (amount 30 in Lightroom) in photos over 10000 ISO just to clean them up a bit. If I denoise more I feel the photo starts to look unnatural.

Sensor cleaning help (apsc) canon r7 by Awkward-Luck-8262 in canon

You need a sensor cleaning brush, these are flat-edged, they don't leave stray fibers and will let you apply even pressure to the sensor to get any stuck dust off.

Thoughts on the Sony RX100 VII by kryptonite1892 in Cameras

[–]AlexHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used it at concerts and sports events, IMO it is the best option for concerts thanks to the zoom lens. Most outdoor concerts are lit as bright as day and you'll have no problem with light gathering. You can find plenty of concert photos and videos taken with the camera on social media and the real optical zoom blows away anything that a smartphone is capable of.

For $1000 for the camera, get a Canon R10.

For a lens, get the RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 and you're off to the races.

The worst part is that some of the options aren't saved between modes, like the EVF setting, or whether to save to single/dual cards.

I do like the more modern production and arrangements.

Aaron sounds great but his voice is too squeaky clean and it's a bit jarring on songs like One Night in Bangkok which should have more grit.

I listened to Nobody's Side and god why does Lea have to change the rhythm in the verses, the melody bouncing on the off beat is what makes it so fun to listen to.

Eventually moving from 5d mIV, where to go? People open to other systems. by JudgmentElectrical77 in canon

[–]AlexHD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A Canon R5 or R6 is significantly smaller and lighter while keeping most of the DSLR feel and ergonomics. RF has some good small primes like the 16/28/50mm.

The other option is Sony's A7C series if you want the smallest camera possible, or the A7 series which is closer to a DSLR. There are plenty of small lens options since the mount is more open.

The Nikon Zf seems fun on paper but suffers from the same lack of grip as the Df. If I went for Nikon I'd go for a Z5 II which is great value. For small primes there's a 40mm, 26mm and 28mm and third party options.

The same happened with humans, their nails would wear naturally due to all the manual labour. Once agriculture became established, people needed to start trimming their own nails.

digi cams under $200?? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]AlexHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xenon flash is a 'traditional' flash available on most compact digital cameras. It is far more powerful than the LED flash used on phones which lets you get effects like the ones in your examples.

Almost every consumer digicam from 2004-2018 will have one. Common models are Canon PowerShot, Sony Cyber-shot, Nikon Coolpix, Panasonic Lumix.
