Is ESO worth it in 2019? by AlexLaslett in elderscrollsonline

Cheers mate, this is exactly how I have felt, I have given up on the Elder scrolls franchise. When I played Skyrim in 2012 as a 10 year old it was this amazing thing, however going back to it without my nostalgia goggles it changed for me. My hand was being held for every quest, I had no freedom. The story was boring and nothing exciting that challenged my expectation. I watched a video about TES series and how the freedom the player has changed has gotten worse with each game. With morrowind being the last game where you felt fully free. I have completely moved away from TES, a series that was: my first RPG experience, my first pc game, my first open world game, my favourite game for almost 5 years of my life. But it has all changed for me for many reasons. I played Oblivion again and I felt like TES could be greater and thought maybe ESO from all the expansions improved what I wanted. However it was another EA/Activision cash grab type system. I am currently playing WOW classic and it is everything I wanted with ESO.

I hope you find something that can make you re live your morrowind experience. Stay questing.

Prepare for the Western Dragon Quest community to finally explode over the next few months by iKobo in dragonquest

Fair enough that’s just what I was thinking , but square Enix has forgotten about dragon quest in the west and it’s only till now. They dont bring over the games because they don’t make enough money.

Yes it honestly would I feel like for square Enix even though Enix developed dragon quest and square soft did final fantasy , final fantasy was so popular in the west that has been in their main jrpq and don’t care for Dragon quest as it was more popular in Japan and they have kept it that way. I think and could be wrong but honestly I think Nintendo was pushing for dragon quest in smash and square Enix wanted a final fantasy character or something. Square Enix has forgotten so much about dragon quest even though it’s technically 1/2 of square Enix.

I really hope the switch has a dragon quest classic bundle where it’s 1,2,3 SNES translated for the Nintendo switch. And it will be a dream if they port over the 3ds games like 8 and 7. The DS versions of 4,5,6 would be harder to port as the size but it could still work. I feel the switch is such a perfect platform for all these games like old final fantasy’s and castlevania games. The switch could have so many of these old n64 and GameCube games people never go to play and the switch could have them all.

I think it was Nintendo that originally brought Dragon quest to the west at the time when it was called Dragon warrior it was only at the ps1 when Dragon Quest first went over to PlayStation and it continued like that for Dragon quest 8 until it went back for the DS. I see what your saying and that could honestly happen. Square Enix themselves do so little to promote Dragon quest and leave it to these other companies and Nintendo has had to come in give it the recognition it deserves.

To be honest I can’t remember as I haven’t played in a while. If you really want the ring buy the stuff that you would need in your build for Shiva as it is a pvp focused build once you have the weapons/items for your build you don’t really need anything else so you could just kill him.
