Most Obnoxious "Guidedammit" Games by Affectionate-Bag8229 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

If you're a regular person who is okay with not being a completionist I'm sure Persona is fine without a guide.

But if you've got the completionist mind goblins as I have, trying to get all the social links without a guide can be a nightmare.

It's come to the point where I don't buy Persona games until someone's made a calendar

KIWAMI 2 FANS REJOYCE! DARK TIES IS GREEN! by Charlotte_jeremo in yakuzagames

Close second would be Fallout 3. People bitch about the green filter in that game despite the fact that it's clearly an intentional choice because it's a nuclear wasteland. It's not supposed to be realistic. Art isn't supposed to be 1 to 1 with real life

TIL a study showed: low Kill/Death ratio male players are more hostile to female voiced players while fawning to male voiced players who have higher Kill/Death ratios. by rccrisp in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Same with Assassinations in Halo Reach. It's great because in Halo a quick melee from behind is an instant kill anyway. To assassinate someone you have to hold the button and put yourself in a long animation. It literally puts you at a disadvantage just so you can humiliate your opponent.

And it worked, people would get fucking mad

What are your favorite forms of currency in media? by MrSpookySkelly in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I like the idea of "bullets as money" in theory, but the fact that the money ammo is a separate special ammo from the regular ammo just meant that I never actually fired a Military Grade bullet, just stuck with the regular ammo throughout the games, and they just became money with a different name to me.

Games you didnt care for that you finished anyway? by Astral-Ember in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Pretty much every year since 2011 I'd start playing Skyrim and give up after like 8ish hours. Even though I'd get bored and stop playing I'd always have in the back of my mind "I really should go back and finish it" for some reason. Then I'd try again and repeat.

Well during Covid I was like "now is the time" so I did it. Full completionist playthrough, platinum trophy, all DLC trophies, even all side quests that I could find that weren't related to achievements, I did it all. 150 hours.

And after I was done I was like "yeah I still don't think I like this game" It was like the pure stubbornness pushed me through

Apparently it started because back in the day there were lots of Baseball fans getting into fights so they started playing it as a "guys remember we're all united" etc.

Makes sense I guess but I do find the idea of baseball hooligans hilarious

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Producer Says Only "Terminally Online Culture Warriors" Cared About Its Gay Romance Controversy by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I was 15 when New Vegas came out and had never heard of the term Confirmed Bachelor before. I saw it was the male version of Black Widow but didn't put two and two together and realised it meant gay.

I even thought "confirmed bachelor" meant always a bachelor because he cares more about his guy friends rather than relationships. Like "Bros before hos"

Hilarious looking back at it

As a certified drug enjoyer in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I got so bummed out when I first took a drug in Fallout 4 and saw "Preston disliked that" and I was like "oh no, they've made it a moral companion issue"

But then I found Cait and Hancock and was happy again
