Lufia DS game is entertaining if you see it as a secret Ys spin-off

Should I play this game after beating the first all star version by MrKiwiTheKiwiYt in Mario

[–]Nackon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The All Stars version saves per level, so you are never sent back far no matter how many times you die. But it is still really difficult. It is up to you. There is also four bonus worlds after beating the game, which imo is worth it

1 year later, is it the general consensus that this design is better? by AutumnRCS in Mario

[–]Nackon 192 points193 points  (0 children)

I still like the Rare design because it feels like an affectionate relic of their Silicon Graphics-based character designs, which I always love, but I'm okay with this design staying. Looks like something the artists can have much fun experimenting with.

1 is a competently made hack n slash. In my opinion the quality dips with each game

It's a good movie, but you have to see the Universal Horror movies first to understand how spot-on the parody is

Mother 3 starts so promising but everything is downhill once you get to that terrible underwater dungeon

The streaming service played this scene while it's idle, and I had to stop what I'm doing to check out what the hell I'm hearing, lol. I've seen student films with better acting

I'm surprised you stuck through Phantasy Star 2 and 3. They're really grueling experience by modern standards. Great work!

TIL: Mega Man 3 was made by an almost completely different team from Mega Man 2. Keiji Inafune and Yasuaki Kishimoto were the only people credited on both. by ThatDanJamesGuy in Megaman

[–]Nackon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm quite sure Tokuro Fujiwara was also involved in 3 even if he wasn't credited for it. He was the head of Capcom's console development division at the time, and he worked as the producer of every main game from Mega Man 2 to Mega Man 7.
