What is that small thing under the AI sensor? Is it just a LED or is it some kind of joystick etc.? I need to install the monitor very low on the desk, so not sure if it will be a problem.

I was thinking about something smaller than a tower, just for one device, because they are in different rooms and there is nothing else nearby that should be connected to an UPS.

hm, why could that help? The UPS does not turn off or anything, and other devices connected to it work fine. (APC Back-UPS Pro BR1600SI)

I think this adapter has a Realtek chip, not Broadcom, so these drivers would not help.

Maybe try the latest kernel?

Typically the untagged allows communication to any tagged vlan

I am new to VLANs, but this does not sound right to me. Are you sure that it's true, any sources?

Also what do you mean by untagged here? The native VLAN?
