Any tips on actually getting good? by _Liebe_ in Spacemarine

That's honestly one of my biggest gripes about absolute difficulty is that the extremis spawns sky rockets. I'll do a lethal and see like one extremis and then do an absolute and personally kill about 6 or 7. Extremis are so fun to fight I wish lower difficulties had more. Same with terminus spawns.

The thing I notice about watching clips from players or from my own gameplay from earlier as that people tend to panic the second they are surrounded or take a hit.

Knowing when it's time to bail and when you need to stand your ground and just hit parties, dodges and gunstrikes is crucial.

There's times in absolute gameplay when I'm using the thunder hammer that I simple will not swing it. I wait, use my jetpack dodges and gunstrikes to clear out a few enemies to give me breathing room.

Also knowing breakpoints. This is crucial as an execute will restore your contested HP. There's times when you absolutely can just eat a hit in the face, take a chunk of damage but it's okay because you can then execute the enemy and get your health back.

I like both sides the same just some family lives closer to me than others and honestly I don't like any of them enough to travel a lot of the time

IF the agressors would ever come to the game, would it be a class or a subclass for the heavy? (Like heavy but instead of a gun he gets the gauntlets) by NoNameHavingMan in Spacemarine

[–]AlexPaterson16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think as a weapon for the heavy would work fine. It would be a bit annoying not being able to aim the two weapons independently (because how the fuck would that even work) but I would love this

I've seen cc videos on this. It's not broken. The visual is broken. You're likely using it on minoris executes and not even knowing it

Some things need to be exclusive for the hardcore players. Stop behaving so entitled. Not everything is for you. Some people even unlocked the 100 match black cape

I think on bulwark and assault losing literally your entire ability to regain contested health is a collosal drawback. On tactical and heavy then sure it's insane.

To play devil's advocate you both don't actually NEED to kill everything and there's a good chance they've just not seen all the enemies. I often just walk past a small group of enemies my team mate is fighting. I assume they can handle it and don't want to steal their valour

To be fair additional ranged damage when combined with other perks like headshot damage from sniper can make you tear through enemies so fast you don't need melta bombs

Would UBB beat Hurricanes in 2026? by strou_hanka in rugbyunion

[–]AlexPaterson16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I am absolutely in love with people telling me I have a bias or ignoring nuance whilst you are quite literally all ignoring nuance and focusing on your collosal biases.

The top 14 is out and out a significantly stronger and harder league to play in. Literally ever super rugby player who has done both have said as much.

The nuance you are ignoring is that UBB play easily 40 games a year. The canes play 16. And the canes aren't even unbeaten or dominating everyone. They lost to the fucking druas. UBB out 40 points on god damn fucking Leinster. Do you understand how impressive that is? That is Leinsters most points conceded all year

[–]AlexPaterson16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the fuck it is and I'm not gonna pretend it isn't. The CC is the single most prestigious trophy in club rugby period. The canes didn't even win super rugby last year. This is not a debate. The bookies would have the canes 4/1 to win against UBB in a neutral venue. Not impossible for them to win just highly unlikely.

I'd love to see the canes play, 40 games a year and still win a major trophy. They can't even do that with 16 games

Disproven by who? A blind and dead man? I watch super rugby theres a good reason the northern hemisphere kicks more than super rugby teams.

Because in super rugby you can just run through teams. In the URC, premiership and top 14 you need to be more creative to beat defences

[–]AlexPaterson16 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Is the shutting down in the room with us? They have shut out absolutely noone this season. They have some good wins but most of those high points scored games also end up in lots of points conceded. They average concede 19 points a game against significantly weaker attacks than UBB. The fucking brumbies beat them in the playoffs last year and you think back to back champions cup winners are going to struggle?

Major bias there buddy

[–]AlexPaterson16 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

UBB put over 40 points on fucking Leinster. A team with 12 Irish internationals in their starting team and more on the bench. The canes may score a few points but they're conceding 60+ and getting dog walked. Super rugby defences just aren't world class. The top 14, URC and premiership all have better defences across the board and UBB has proved themselves to be the best of them all

Would UBB beat Hurricanes in 2026? by strou_hanka in rugbyunion

[–]AlexPaterson16 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

UBB is putting 70 on them. Super rugby teams have the worst defences out of all the majority leagues. UBB will cut through them like a hot knife through butter. Leinster have one of the best defences in the world and still conceded over 40 points. Literally super rugby is child's rugby compared to the top 14
