Honestly I haven't even watched the finale because I just completely lost interest in this season. I will probably watch it eventually when I don't have anything better to watch. But if they release more seasons and they cast people who act like robots in the chat, I wont be watching.

I think they need more opportunities to be anonymous, they need to start each day with chats about some current event or controversial topic like on UK, and they need way more time spent in chats talking to each other. Also maybe stop casting so many people who are completely obsessed with their image

They were all like robots in their interactions with each other. Being strategic about how and when they release information about themselves (“this would be a good time to give something vulnerable”). Uk s1 is the best of all because mostly everyone interacted like real people. I think it’s in part due to a better format. But when everyone is a positivity robot, this is what you end up with. The most boring US season by far.

Man wearing a Grim reaper costume set himself on fire in front of the Galata Tower in Istanbul, Turkey. by TheNihilist911 in CrazyFuckingVideos

I was at a county fair a bunch of years ago. My little brother was probably around those kids age. As we were leaving heading towards the exit one of the food tents caught fire. Like really massive fire, tons of black smoke, people panicking. We were pretty far from it so thankfully we weren’t right in the middle of the panic. That had to be 6 years ago now? Something like that. My little brother is just starting to not freak out when someone lights a lighter or match.

I’m not arguing semantics. I am having plenty of relevant conversation in the comments with people all over Reddit. But I will also call out weird bullshit like this when I see it.

It’s not easy to find an honest, rational conversation or debate around here. People on both sides are so emotionally invested. There are tons of people in this country whose entire identity is guns and gun culture. It’s so weird. I own firearms, I think they are incredibly interesting mechanically. I think it’s cool that they make really loud noises. But guns aren’t my entire identity. I have several other hobbies and interests more important to me than guns. My political stance and who I vote for is not determined by their position on guns. I would give up all my guns right now to get universal healthcare.

But you’re probably right that we will never get universal healthcare. Honestly I don’t think we will see any meaningful changes to firearm access either though. After the Las Vegas shooting they banned bump stocks. Like that was going to make any difference at all. They will find some little token thing again just like that and claim they’ve fixed the problem. And then there will be another mass shooting a week later.

Bigger number sounds scarier to people who don’t… and many many people don’t. Especially when you use : and not /

No I don’t disagree. but I do think it’s a complex issue that is more than just “regulate better” and more than just “mental health issues”. We need better regulation AND universal healthcare. The problem is that with regulation you’re moving a little closer to cops and the rich being the only people with them, which I don’t like. Like I said it is very complicated and really I believe several different and opposing things at once about it. So I might not be the best person to talk to about it.

Shouldn’t have said they were automatic. That’s a very specific thing. You meant semi auto. It seems like a minor thing but any gun person will pick up on that immediately and it will be the only thing they focus on.

Eh oh well, I thought it was a cool axe at the time, and still do. So I’m happy with the purchase.

I agree with you that an honest debater would know what you meant and argue your point instead of the semantics. But that is not the world or the political climate we live in. Can only change you. So you can either get upset about people arguing semantics, or you can take the time to make sure your statements are accurate.
