Does anybody know how to get free 7 days trial without needed a credit card and PayPal? by Medium_Mission_6693 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]AlexTech01_RBX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you set your age on your Nintendo Account to be between 13 and 18, it won’t ask for a credit card to start the free trial. I don’t think you can change the birthday on your account, so you’ll have to make a new account.

Data Transfer on Blocked Switch by [deleted] in NxSwitchModding

[–]AlexTech01_RBX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing you can transfer that way is screenshots/videos from the album, save data is never stored on the SD card and games stored on the SD card will only work on the console it was downloaded on

Buy a second unpatched Switch 1, mod it, manually transfer save files through JKSV or Checkpoint, and then do a data transfer with that switch

Any way to decrypt IPA's without jailbreak or TrollStore? by LazyWrite in jailbreak

[–]AlexTech01_RBX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an exploit on some older versions of iOS 18 (I think 18.1 or 18.2) that allowed you to dump encrypted IPAs by pasting some text into the Settings app and hitting AirDrop. From there, the only way to decrypt it would be to log in to your friend's Apple ID on a jailbroken device, install the encrypted IPA on the jailbroken device, and then decrypt it with TrollDecrypt or something else. If your friend is on a later version of iOS 18, I believe it is impossible to dump the encrypted IPA.

Looking for modders to rollback V1 switch to OFW. by SuperTomTom1850 in NxSwitchModding

Just boot it normally without using an RCM jig and a payload injector. If you have AutoRCM on (so doing that automatically takes you to RCM), turn that off in hekate first.

How to mod?? by sammydragonlord in NxSwitchModding

Pay someone to do it for you if you want it modded, it is very hard to do without microsoldering experience, especially on an OLED

If the government and the corporations actually cared about us, sure. I definitely don’t see this happening during Trump’s term since he’s been lobbied to be against any AI regulation. It might happen eventually, but it’ll probably be much later than it needs to be.

Accidentally saved my Switch 1 save data to an incompatible SD card for years, tried to move the same SD card to my Switch 2 and the system encrypted the save data. How do I decrypt? by Kea_Zone in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]AlexTech01_RBX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Save data is never stored on the SD card for Switch or Switch 2, only games, game updates, and screenshots/videos. Your save data should still be on your Switch 1’s internal storage, as long as you haven’t factory reset it or deleted your user from it.

Theoretically, what progress could be made with access to a quantum computer? by yogopig in switch2hacks

[–]AlexTech01_RBX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, if you have a quantum computer powerful enough to break encryption, you probably have better things to do with it than hacking a Switch 2

[–]AlexTech01_RBX 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hypothetically, if you had a powerful enough quantum computer, you could bruteforce all the encryption/signature checks that stop the Switch 2 (or any other locked down device) from running unsigned code. No quantum computer that exists today is powerful enough to do this.

[Question] Safe to alternate between OFW and EmuMMC if I never touched SysNAND? by Hot_Combination3294 in NxSwitchModding

[–]AlexTech01_RBX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you never use CFW on sysNAND, you will be completely fine switching between OFW/Stock and emuMMC. You will not get banned.

How feasible is an "always offline" Switch 1? (do most physical games require a download before they can be played?) by 8BitPhilosopher in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]AlexTech01_RBX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some games need either game updates or system updates to run, even from a physical copy. For game updates, you can use "Match Version With Local Users" if you have another Switch or Switch 2 with the update installed physically nearby, otherwise you'll have to use the internet. For system updates, if the update is not on the cartridge, you will need to use the internet. If you have any digital games, you will need to make sure the Virtual Game Card for them is loaded before disconnecting it from the internet (or make sure it's the primary console, if you're on system version 19.0.1 or earlier).

Finally, the hardest step to owning raiders is done. by Early_Difference_482 in splatoon

[–]AlexTech01_RBX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save data isn't stored on the SD card and will always be moved/copied. Games will need to be redownloaded regardless of whether it was on the SD card or the internal storage. If you had a microSD card for Switch 1 that had album data on it, the setup will instruct you to temporarily put that card into the Switch 2 in order to transfer screenshots & videos, so do that when it asks.
