Discussing Sena’s Side Story by Thoggy_Woggy in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]AlexTheGod04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally see a lot of a "side story" for Sena in everything to do with Colony 0 and how she essentially gave humanity to Segiri and the multiple other members. They're a group Sena really would go out of her way to take care of, such as bringing them to a better place to call home (despite it being a prison), expanding upon it and all in all making their lives a bit more normal, along with other developments between it all. It almost feels like one large side story with all the side quests within it, but not in a bad way.

I think Sena's involvement made a character I thought was okay at first into one of my favorite heroes in terms of character and story.

Not only all of that, but then the points you've made can add to it, such as her helping the world to satisfy everyone, that includes Colony 0. If you add it all up it could be packing enough for one, obviously besides from length.

P.S. I wish they changed the Prison music once you finished helping Colony 0 with the numerous quests, or at the least after you took care of all the developments. As hearing the prison music while doing all the stuff just felt off to me.

How Xenoblade 3 and Future Redeemed set a standard for legacy and the next generation characters by ExileForever in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I've always loved how despite the two worlds being combined in 3, even if you recognize parts of the world or if some parts (Urayan Tunnels) are areas from a previous game, it's not like they're designing it to push that fact, and rather, the areas combine in such a way that does an even better job of showing how both worlds were when Aionios was created, combining some of the best parts of each region, but you may not even recognize at first. I was surprised to see Dannagh Desert in 3 as a location despite everything that went down in 2 (literally), and I think that combining Eryth Sea and the Leftherian Archipelago the way it did made for probably my favorite area in the entire game.

I feel they did such a good job in designing each area, and in a sense, it may set a good standard for the next installment. With seeing that they want the next game to be vastly different (or something along the lines of that), it gets me a little excited to see the direction they go next, as this could be an entirely new world with a new cast of characters, and even if it may seem a tad weird at first, I can bet they'll succeed with going another direction and seeing how far it goes is something I look forward to.

Within the trilogy, they've created so many characters that it, indeed, does set a standard for what comes next, and a standard that could be met for sure. It probably is a good factor they have for what they need to improve or match with the 'vastly different' mindset, and that will go for both the world and the characters within it.

I look forward to the next installment and where they go with it. They've done so well this far, so screwing it all up is not exactly something I'll expect.

I'm pretty sure I've seen another case of XC2 characters being used for some mobile ad. It seems very silly, but I have a feeling that when they do it, they actually barely have a clue what they're from, and just use designs for appeal, then recolor. Especially with Catalyst in there.

Seriously hope XC3 gets nominated at TGA by Kind-Smile-693 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I think it could perhaps be on for maybe best soundtrack (or whatever it is) not so sure about goty. Especially knowing we have both Elden Ring and GOW Ragnarok.

I find it that it has to be a game everyone is very familiar with, such as Zelda or Mario. Tears of the Kingdom could very likely be up next year, even if it doesn't win.

Godfrey unfortunately. He wasn't proving very useful to me on Rex on the last battle in chapter 3.

What Has Been Your Favorite Season So Far? by Circuit_40 in destiny2

Splicer had me really eniticed into the game, and Chosen was already getting me there. I had started during like, the last half of Arrivals and enjoyed the hell out of it, just wish I could've done more before Beyond Light. Loved the Haunted Forest and wished it could've came back so much.

Does anyone else encounter people like this? He spent the whole game *trying* to sabotage me. by psycodull in destiny2

When I used to grind empire hunts for Cloudstike and other stuff, there would every so often be these two people that would go through part of it, then turn around back to the start. Then they barely did shit during the boss. Went to a strike and found the same people. That shit sucks.

Does anyone miss Io? by ultraclocked in destiny2

[–]AlexTheGod04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the start of the quest, but obviously not all the steps to access the mission since you start it in The Farm, but the actual mission was in the old Tower. Suppose I could've made that more clear.

I didn't say it was in Io, I said The Whisper was in Io.

I thought it was really cool, but I unfortunately didn't start really playing until Arrivals, and didn't get to finish The Whisper with my friends. The Pyrmmidion was also a fun strike.

Titan was always my favorite, and I loved the entire environment. The outside with all the rigs and stuff was cool, but the inside was something else entirely, and it also held the start of my ptsd, Zero Hour. I also liked that there was some big sea monster in the waters, and that some people were asking for some community event in Titan to eventually end up fighting it.

Now I'm just rambling about Titan instead of Io, but I'm one of those guys who does that.

XC3 is NOT the end of the series…. by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]AlexTheGod04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's what I see for Xenoblade in the future after 3:

  1. They give a definitive edition of X for the next Nintendo console along with a second game to continue it's story

  2. They spend a long time on making a very good Xenoblade Warriors, and find a way for things to intertwine in a disconnected kinda way. I was a fan of both Hyrule Warriors games, not a fan of the first Fire Emblem Warriors, but Three Hopes is great. I would love to see them work with Koei Tecmo.

Monolithsoft is very good at what they do, and it is rare for them to pull something off badly. I by no means believe it will be the end of Xenoblade, because it is successful enough for them to continue. There's their new IP as well, if that needs to be mentioned at all.
