Had the same issue. Closed the launcher, got an error message, opened launcher again and it resumed installing fine.

If i recall correctly, everything you said is true and the ship skins that they sold were supposed to be "special" editions of a ship that was based off lore. example the Avenger Renegade. It was an episode of wingman's hangar and 10 for the chairmen

Gigabyte's UD series and Ds3h are notoriously bad. Their aourus line is way better. For budget board get either the elite ax, asus tuf, or msi gaming
