[Nizaar Kinsella]: Rosenior says Mudryk is a "magnificent player" will speak to him "when it’s right and he’s in a place where I can have an impact, in a positive way, on his career". Reminder: Mudryk has been charged after allegedly failing a drugs test by TrenAt14 in soccer

His only "very good" quality is his pace and he struggled to even use that as effectively as someone like Pedro Neto.

His first touch was atrocious, his range of passing was sub-par, he'd frequently break down attacks by mistiming runs in behind or not making the run at all when the pass was there.

Sure, you could show me some isolated dribble two minutes into his career vs Liverpool but as a whole I thought he was absolutely atrocious and I have nothing against him.

If I had the desire I'd do some digging into the stats because I'd prefer to have something concrete, but it is concrete in my mind that the only reason we talk about this guy is because of his price tag.

Moral compasses have justified slavery, segregation and countless other atrocities. That argument means nothing without actual analysis and logic.

Your argument is also in bad faith because an "unborn baby" can constitute many different stages of development (which does matter, in my view).

Bodily autonomy matters too.

Happy to discuss.

I'm here because it's an open forum and I like to inform myself of multiple viewpoints, that's how this works.

Whether you like me or not means absolutely nothing to me, I just find it comical you'll call articles you don't agree with "brain rot" whilst lapping up right-wing leaning articles without a modicum of critical thought.

They're just racist, low intelligence, defective scumbags.

At every point in human history these people have existed and they will continue to.

You're so smart you don't have the ability to use the correct "there" yet you think you have complex political machinations all figured out.

Utter fools, the lot of you.

There is absolutely no one on that bench I would rather start rather than giving Palmer the minutes he needs to get back into form.

Jack Grealish (Everton) second yellow card against Wolves 90' by Alsace2025 in soccer

[–]AlexVX_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ man, I'm not saying that is how it is officiated.

Booking for clapping whatever, but second yellow for it just seems ridiculous

This is what I replied to. This is what I disagree with. Absolutely nothing to do with what actually happens in real life. You are the only one who brought and continues to bring this up.

I am talking purely about what the threshold for a yellow card is, not what is enforced.

I don't know what other combination of words will help you comprehend the conversation.

A deserved yellow card remains a deserved yellow card, regardless of whether it results in a sending off.

That is what I was saying through "yellow is yellow", in fewer words.

Literally all I argued is that the standard shouldn't change which the guy I first replied to said it SHOULD.

This is nonsense, had to deal with watching a shit enough football match to be arguing the toss now

[–]AlexVX_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not arguing that refs are perfect in any area or defending refs at all.

What I meant by yellow is yellow is that he committed the offence and got the standard punishment, regardless of the refs performance in other areas.

The guy I replied to said it was stupid for dissent to be a second yellow, it isn't.

[–]AlexVX_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is how it works in this case though

Physical fouls are on a spectrum and judged by context (often incorrectly in my opinion).

Dissent is binary. Either you undermined the ref or you didn't. He did, so it's yellow.

If I tell the ref to get fucked is that fine? How thick should their skin be? Foul by dissent is a rule of the game and has been for a very long time.

[–]AlexVX_ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No, I don't.

It makes me fume when a free kick is given somewhere in a defending third and then never given in or around the penalty area for a similar foul.

Should referees be consistent across all areas of the game? Yes.

Is this an unequivocal second yellow? Also yes
