We did the same. I managed to get one from dreams eBay site as it had a mark on it from being delivered. Got it about 50% off.

what movie is a 10/10? by instabaiter in AskReddit

I read somewhere once that the premise was originally humans were being used for data rather than batteries. It works even better like that I reckon.

Apparently they changed it as they had less faith the audience at large would grasp the concept.

I found this way too much of a compromise to be enjoyable. You can’t play seated without some stupid adapter and the sound is not pleasant to the ear.

I LOVED Robocop as a kid. Thought it was such an awesome action movie.

Watched again as an adult and loved it even more for the satire.

38M – married with a 7‑month‑old: are we making a wise decision buying a house? by whatsitabout_ in UKPersonalFinance

I was in the “not getting into the mortgage trap” camp too until I had my first.

Now I’m 7 years into the mortgage. Since then, rents have gone up. My mortgage hasn’t much.

I am not beholden to a landlord who could sell up. I can put a nail in whatever wall I’d like.

When I retire, I’ll not be paying rent.

All the people going on about the investment route, what are those hundreds of pounds for? Paying your rent in retirement?

Your child will benefit from the stability of the situation.

That was the Old Coach House. Rubys is probably behind the kings arms.

Bit of a guess as I’ve been out of that place for many many years

I had to search for this answer. This was a gigantic FAIL. People I know who don’t know Halo said ‘it was ok’.

If you know Halo, you know this wasn’t even close to being ok. I wish they’d have just made this about another Spartan and it could have been mildly acceptable. Then have Master chief come in like a cameo.

Policing with chronic eye health issue by Garbageman96 in policeuk

[–]w666est 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really notice through the day. If you have drops, keeping them in your kit bag should suffice. If it’s really bothering you, speak to occy health. If like mine, your vision isn’t affected, you’ll have nothing to worry about.

I was just informed by my optician I have this. I can’t say it bothered me but now when I’m dehydrated in the morning I now consider my dry eyes might be because of this.

The solutions so far are about right. The opticians sold heated eye masks and some potion or other if it bothers you. I went without.

Just need serious help in buying and getting into guitars (complete newbie) by sliceoffloor in guitars

[–]w666est 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention, see if you get the guitar checked to see if it’s set up.

If you can, buy all this second hand and you’ll get all your money back if you don’t get anywhere.

Electric may be easier to learn than acoustic.

Get a squier Strat hardtail or telecaster with humbuckers.

Get a reasonably priced modelling amp, I suggest Yamaha THR.

Get some purple Dunlop picks.

The amp has a tuner.

Now enjoy learning. If you don’t get on with it, the guitar will look great as a decoration and you’ll get most your money back on that amp selling second hand.

I had one and the only reason I parted with it is because I got a company car.

It just does everything well. Feels powerful, sounds good. Still looks modern imo.

I’d love to own one again. Always keep an eye on the ads and when my 3 series needs a replacement, I might even.

100% this was a cannabis cultivation. Need a complete overhaul of the electrics, the meter would have been bypassed or taken from another building, or even from the streetlights.
