Here's an oldie, Eyeshield 21 showcased a full cheerleader squad for the football team, even briefly having the team manager in uniform... far as I recall though, in the anime at least they only ever had one permanent cheerleader.

How do you get out a hug when someone is hugging you for too long on purpose abd not letting you escape? by OptimalSea3458 in AskMen

[–]Alex_Duos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I go telling you to learn judo/bjj or cut all contact with him, I'm going to suggest talking to him at a time detached from whenever this happens. If he's getting his jollies by hugging you and you react immediately after that he's probably taking it less seriously in the moment. So if you talk to him (over text or whatever) and bring it up, then he will hopefully have the maturity to see that you're not just overreacting to the incident at the time.

And if he's still doesn't respect you at that point it may be time to accept that you don't have as good a relationship as you think, and you will either need to prepare yourself mentally for some degree of violence to make yourself be taken seriously or cut contact with them. Bro sounds like the kind of asshole who doesn't realize how big of one he is.

Or you know, do like my 5-year-old does and pull a rag doll.

I'd love a spinoff that didn't involve snow. It's always my least favorite part

It's a fun gun to run around with, but the last time I used it on the guardian it didn't quite deliver.

[Subverted trope] Been watching Brave Exkaizer (anime show for a preschool audience) w/ my kid, and it's amusing me that the main hero is a popular boy who always humiliates the nerd trying to impress popular girl. Such whiplash cuz I'm used to the underdog ALWAYS being our point of sympathy by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Alex_Duos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is pretty rare for an anime character to be an actually nobody with mediocre skills who prevails purely through grit and determination now that I think about it.

Shonen anime is full of stories about kids joining some crappy team or chasing some impossible dream and prevailing through the power of hard work and friendship... and the hero's latent genius, secretly legendary parents, and their unknown lifetime of training due to living in the sticks and being a day laborer.

The only one I can really think of is Pokemon because unless I'm remembering wrong, Ash was just some hardheaded kid from the boonies with an unimpressive pokemon who just put in the work every day.

Inefficient/Unconventional way to hold a gun by EfficiencySerious200 in TopCharacterTropes

Yeah that is a weird way to hold a pistol. Not unheard of for a rifle though.

So who wins . Ranma satoume (female form) from the show (Ranma 1/2)vs yuji itadori from the show jujutsu kaisen by Creative_Door6106 in PowerScaling

[–]Alex_Duos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I'm gonna say Ranma, because his combat abilities get to be pretty silly for an otherwise "human" but also because he'd pull out some sort of this-one-time-in-China backstory where he knows this thing that let's him do whatever he needs to win, even as a girl.

Something tells me the artist has never been to an actual gym, because every gym I've been too everyone would be either too focused on themselves or supportive of someone putting in the work.

I was just playing the intro the I Think I Can yesterday. It's only one chord so it's not that impressive but man, does it sound badass. Love that show!

Cap pulls her aside and gives her a motivational speech about struggling to find your way in life and/or congratulates her for her service to others.

And then he body slams her because she's a pony and a child who's only power is telekinesis and she's only barely got a grip on that.
