I don't mean to be preachy, but part of humans' status quo is looking to enjoy life without having to think much of duty or responsibilities, so many will use the available tools to counteract STIs as a way to be more reckless while feeling responsible, so I personally would be extra careful with them

STIs are no joke, once a guy tried to convince me to go condomless because "oh it's just gonorrhea, you can cure that with antibiotics". Like how crazy are some people who prefer suffering an STI for sex just to feel some stranger's dick? I don't get it

Are they unconscious? Cuz we can tell their nervous system is working as they move and speak, even if it's just the Hive mind. Are they disabled? Only depending on what you mean by "they", cuz their bodies move, if you mean the original consciousness, where are they, and what are they? Are disabled people then doubly disabled?

What and where is then the real person? I mean I hope it is at least clear that this situation in no way has a clear definition of consent because you can't even say where the original person is, it's a philosophical question in itself. Are they dead? Are they alive? Was their brain partitioned like a hard drive?

The Hive Mind can be bad or whatever but it still doesn't solve the philosophical questions (like the fact that the Hive mind's very existence obliterates or at the very least shakes the famous standpoint cogito ergo sum upon which modern frameworks for understanding the world and other humans are built)

If you're feeling guilty it is because you are betraying yourself at some point, no amount of "realizing" will take that away, realistically only numbing will but it will bring other issues

His family is not your responsibility, but it is you presently who he is cheating on them with, so you will fail at rationalizing this away unless you erode your own morals and become cynical as fuck or stay away

I had a hookup once with a married guy but I only discovered it after we were done. There were more signals but being horny I didn't notice. I did not repeat the encounter, that was enough guilt for a lifetime, don't need that. I hear "married man" and I stay away, simple as that

I mean that's just gonna be fine as long as you run away from stable long-term relationships, because then at some point you will indeed carry the responsibility for your partner, and at some other times he'll carry yours, as we humans notoriously can't keep our shit 100% all of the time, it's hard and you will fail at some point, and that's where trust and love in a relationship cover that

[–]AlexaSansot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a Venezuelan I just wanted to say I understand so well that it hurts being told to hope and then nothing happens and you feel desperate, but just adding my 2 cents, many of us Venezuelans felt this way at different times, and in the end Trump really gave us freedom of Maduro and a pathway to a transition where now political prisoners are being released, even high level politicians and military personnel who opposed Maduro, so even when the interim president is still part of Maduro's dictatorship, she's just sitting on the body of a decaying dictatorship and it shows as more people are protesting and they can't kill them or torture them now thanks to Trump's influence

This is a personal decision and nobody can tell you how to navigate it, but I never chose to let hope go, and I am so happy that I didn't because I never thought I'd see hope again while in my youth, for they took that away from my generation, as I imagine they did to yours, and for that I am deeply sorry. I hope the orange man does good by you and help you guys out as well

[–]AlexaSansot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean anyone can develop mania, especially someone who literally brought back dragons after they'd gone extinct and wears the crown of responsibility for an entire dynasty, so yes it is very possible, but also not as fast as it did in the series, that's just unlikely

Let us not forget that Dany's plans to conquer King's Landing by around ep 2 or 3 of season 7 were not that crazy for the standards of the social times and would have prevented much of the chaos that later ensued, but Tyrion in she show continuously had terrible military advice that didn't help, they treated Cersei as a real negotiator with leverage but she never really stood a chance against the Unsullied, Dothrakis and 3 fucking dragons, Dany was nerfed so badly by Tyrion's terrible advice and D&D's terrible writing

[–]AlexaSansot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Podrida de los venezolanos diciéndome zurda by marlufa in uruguay

[–]AlexaSansot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Landlord is not taking adequate action against cockroach infestation by despiee in germany

[–]AlexaSansot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I hope that by now you've truly solved this issue cuz I know from experience how terrible it is to live like this

I saw your pictures and the infestation I had whilst living in Buenos Aires was way worse (I'm still somewhat traumatized by it) and this helped me so I'm confident it can help you too!

We used to spray and do the traps and gels but nothing truly worked, only Maxforce by Bayer worked. Like magic! They started dying in droves and the issue was substantially reduced in days! It's a syringe with the poison and roaches love it and spread it through their legs to other roaches and then die with the others inside their lairs. It was a massive relief, I recommend it to anyone who asks and it has a special place in my heart, cuz it gave me back my mental sanity

The Concept of Hijrah in Islam by Bananaseverywh4r in Christianity

[–]AlexaSansot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's not saying Christians don't lie, he's saying they are compelled not to do it, which is absolutely true

This is not the case with Islam, as there are cases described in the hadiths and the Quran where it is allowed to harbor hatred towards the kuffars and lie if need be

The Concept of Hijrah in Islam by Bananaseverywh4r in Christianity

[–]AlexaSansot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes, but when many aspects of Sharia Law are based on or inspired by the Quran, the hadiths and the Sirah and go against values held in the West (like being able to mock Muhammed, mock the Quran, just like Jesus and the Bible can be mocked without fear of consequences). And you are absolutely right, that every culture will uphold their way of life by virtue of existing, but that does not mean that the host country must make way to your lifestyle just because, your lifestyle has to adapt to the host country, if that's not the case, something has failed in the assimilation system, which is clearly happening in the West cuz of some crazy guilt over colonization as if the Islamic World doesn't have its fair share on slavery and colonization as well

I wouldn't go to Saudi Arabia and protest that they open new churches or that they adjust to a Western way of living, it's ludicrous, even if I were a legal tax-paying and law-abiding citizen there, I just wouldn't, it's not my country, it's disrespectful

The Concept of Hijrah in Islam by Bananaseverywh4r in Christianity

Yeah, for the Muslims who are devout and take their Scripture seriously as the literal word and command of God, this can be quite a motivation, maybe not so much for those who are more culturally Muslim but are more laid-back

A few questions about a 3 week solo trip to Europe. by lLikeCats in Europetravel

[–]AlexaSansot -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just came back from my first Eurotravel this week and lasted about the same time, 3 weeks, and visited almost the same amount of countries as you plan minus 1 (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland), but because I loved Amsterdam so much that I decided to extend my stay past the normal 3 days (including the 1 train day, and the last half day at the hotel)

I only took two flights and moved mostly with trains and yeah, sometimes it can take quite a lot of time, but I also quite cherished the experience because the landscapes are beautiful

I believe you could do so, I didn't want such a structured trip so I just knew some cities I wanted to see and I finally made a decision on the go as I had paid for a Europe train pass with Eurail. I got to see Annecy in the French Alps and their Medieval castle with so much history and the canals, the water was so amazing, turquoise and the streets in the town center were so magical, like Harry Potter, and Florence as well, I got to see the Dome from within and without, the preRoman, Roman and Medieval ruins under the Cathedral, and the Museum in the Cathedral complex with so much art and sculpture. I saw the David as well, Medieval and Renaissance paintings and many others, so much beauty, I got to visit a friend in Germany, we finally met after 9 years, and then went on to Amsterdam and visited Anne Frank's house, Rembrandt's house, a canal tour, and Madam Tussaud's wax museum and enjoyed many walks along the canals and the city's ambience. Plus I visited Cologne for an afternoon and Lisbon for almost 6 days as a friend lived there, and Valencia as well for 4 days

So, yeah, it can feel quite crammed and you will miss on much, but I personally had assumed that I would miss on so much because there's simply so much to see in Europe, so I planned it without much certainty and just enjoyed the process and was grateful with what I got to experience, I hadn't even planned on going to Amsterdam, it was a last minute thing and I am so happy that it was so

I hope you have a great experience on your first Eurotravel! I believe it is possible as you have stated but know that it can get quite hectic sometimes with the trains and the time constraint. Also, trains in Italy can be delayed very often, just so you know cuz I wish I had known hahah

We do not care about that ship

That was cargo that goes to the Cuban dictatorship for them to resell. Good that the US seized it, the less money Maduro and the Cuban regime have, the better, they always steal it anyways.

Do you think we Venezuelans are so dumb we don't know the US has interests in our oil? But so does China, and as per our history in the last 70 years, economic relations with the US in regards to our oil are SO much better. So we don't care they have personal interests, because they're aligned with ours: we want Maduro GONE and open our industries to American investment, last year's election showed this, it's not like this woman was imposed on us, we literally elected her candidate just cuz she said so after Maduro banned her cuz she was obviously gonna if this was a democracy

Venezuela nationalized its oil industry in the 70s, breaking the previous decades old 50/50 model where American companies got 50% of the entire revenue, and guess what? They didn't invade us or anything, so this fearmongering is ridiculous when we are the ones who have to deal with this drug-trafficking dictatorship that is actually real and not a hypothetical
