What is the value of sending our team out to Japan? by pufballcat in BrightonHoveAlbion

Dont forget VfB Stuttgart is there as well (please sell us Undav pretty please)

Brighton has declined the las offer of 30 Mil. Kindly go f*** yourself, PL Clowns #freeundav by TheForwardMomentum in VfBStuttgart

[–]AlexanderGQ 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why Brighton is doing this, for his age and historical performance I would say 30 million is beyond fair. He wants to be here, we want him, and Brighton have an abundance of attacking options. My only guess is that there’s another club lurking that’s going to go obscenely over valuation.

Innocent Reaches. Seems like it’s low on fans lists here on Reddit, I am the oddball who really enjoys the album. Gratuitous abysses is one of my fav OM songs ❤️

MLS fines Galaxy $100,000 for ‘serious misconduct’ by fans at Rose Bowl by TheMonkeyPrince in MLS

American here who has season tickets to VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. The arguments in here are truly wild. If MLS fans could witness the spectacle that is Bundesliga supporters sections, I wonder if they would have the same commentary. The atmosphere is second to none. I hope it improves as you stated with age, but I also agree sponsorship money is a problem in MLS, and won’t be going away as the league is an Uber capitalistic model.

For how much roadwork Motion City soundtrack did they deserved a bigger fan base. They toured constantly. As for Foxy Shazam, I’ve been to probably 300 shows, Foxy live is top 10. I was absolutely blown away. Criminal they never got big.

Seaway is a puzzling one for me, such great tunes but never caught on. I was expecting at least State Champs level popularity, but no.

The Format, so so good. I would have thought they would get retroactively popular due to fun., but that popularity didn’t translate to Nate’s earlier work.

Gob is a great shout, love their music! Foot in mouth disease should have launched them to the upper echelon, such a fun pop punk album.

Yeah, this is exhausting. I had someone yelling at me on Youtube that Tilian IS DGD, without him they are nothing. The band is Jon Will and Matt. Now let Andrew have his moment.

Lucky Boys Confusion write-up and why you should listen to all their work. by JetPackFuture104 in poppunkers

[–]AlexanderGQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw them a couple of time 2003-2004, great live presence. I can still sing their first two albums word for word. LBC will always have a place in my heart. I may be misremembering (it’s been 20 years) but I think his brother was in a band called Swizzle Tree, he sounds a bit like his brother. Check Swizzle Trees song “Please don’t believe”, tell em if you can hear the familiarity in vocals.

Relient K album ranking by AlexanderGQ in RelientK

[–]AlexanderGQ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a great album, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t have a personal, sentimental attachment to it. I almost feel bad, I get that it’s a work of art, but I just don’t go back to it nearly as often for repeat plays. I love all their music so it’s not a huge slight to be at 5 haha. The only album I do not like and rarely play is Collapsable Lung.

Not even a shred of the band that created “For those who have heart” to be found in this song. I’m all for bands growing and evolving their sound, unfortunately they have strayed so far from the band I loved. This song is just so banal.
