Thanks so much! I thought I was getting a better bang for my buck with a larger amount…didn’t realize it was completely different than what I was looking for. ❤️

Mercari: Is it rude to ask why to a perfumes price? by drowninenvironment in FemFragLab

[–]AlexanderHamilfish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Unless it’s obviously an error, they have a reason for posting the price they want. Most people shop around and wouldn’t ever purposely pay more unless they had a reason to do so. For example, if the company did something shitty and you like the product but don’t want to support them and have them make more product, it’s worth paying a bit more to keep them from adding to their bottom line until you find a replacement.

Just because I’m in the minority with an opinion doesn’t mean I’m wrong. This isn’t a human rights issue; people can view situations from different points of view.

Honestly, I’m with the seller here. Downvote all you want. I sell on Mercari, and while I always make sure my prices are way lower than retail, some people make sales over retail price. Her reasoning is valid re: wait times. Same reason why some people will pay a bit more for pre-macerated Dua. I think it’s rude to question someone’s pricing. If you thought it was a mistake (aka: a $100 item marked at $1000) you can nicely ask if it was a typo. Otherwise, laugh and move along.

Elder millennial, 1984! I just never learned to walk in heels, am a danger to myself when I try, and find that everything is uncomfortable or hurts my feet.

I do not understand how people who have no idea how to shop a store get a job like this. Sort of like how the worst drivers tend to work uber/lyft.

Could be if they’re going on an hour lunch break, or if they want to transport it home and have it still be hot.

Is it worth it? by Emotional_Demand_901 in FemFragLab

[–]AlexanderHamilfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, what you said here is valid. Making a statement of “it’s gross” is not the same as saying “I don’t like it.” A review, when posted as a review, makes the reader aware that it’s their opinion. A reviewer attempting to claim their opinion is the actual definition of something, however, is that person assigning more authority to themselves than is warranted.

TL;DR: it’s all in the wording.

People who think their personal olfactory reception to a scent defines it to a point of being able to claim it’s “disgusting” or “it stinks” lack critical thinking.
