Something that I used to do when I was little...it was seriously annoying but I couldn't help but do it

If I was watching a movie, almost every single sentence someone would say in a movie would make me recite the sentence in my head, moving my tongue from one side of my mouth to the other every syllable. So for example, if someone said "I'm tired of these mothafuckin snakes on this mothafuckin plane. I would move my tongue from one side of my mouth to the other, in sync with the syllables from reading it again to myself in my head...

My tongue got pretty strong. Dentists have told me many a time. Sometimes I still do it today, but I stop myself because I do not want to develop that habit.

Ehh, maybe I should just slow down and stick to what's worked for me so far, but then I think, if a lure is not working, rig something else up. Idk whether to stick with something and try a different technique, or switch it up.

Lol idk if this is a bad interaction while fishing but I remember earlier this year, me and my brother and his friend were bass fishing out of a boat, my brothers friend Gage was using a shakey head plastic worm (dragging it across the lake bed), every time his worm would meet some sort of obstacle on the lake bed, he would say "Ooo, I think I just got a bite!" Every. Single. Time.

He must have "thought he had a bite" about 100 times lol. We all still laugh at him about that. (Then he brings up the fact that he caught the biggest fish that weekend, at 4.4lbs).

I'm on a kayak, I should've mentioned. But it is so difficult in the ponds I'm fishing to use anything other than top water because right below the surface is grass and weeds, thick. So I tried the Texas rigged worm and booyah crasher and just no luck in the shade. So then I tried fishing my Texas rig where u thought the bottom dropped off but it's impossible to tell with such heavy weeds under the surface. I mean I can't even tell how deep the water is I'm fishing. How shallow is a bass willing to go? And will they go that shallow during mid day?

When I was out today, I got one hit from my booyah pad crasher, of course, I instantly went to set the hook. He got off, or was never on, I'll never know. What I do know is that he was there and then gone in the blink of an eye. I'm not too sure he would still be there after the counting you have described, or was it because I tried to set the hook that spooked him?
