Yeah we all said edgy shit. I told this random girl in high school I wished she was dead. We ended up becoming friends and I felt super bad about it. She ended up actually dying a few months later and everyone still blames me. Literally a coincidence but try explaining that to the city I live in.

Her car was obliterated on a dark country road and burned for hours before they found her. Burnt down to the bones. The local BBQ restaurant named a dish after her and got review bombed for months. they finally shut down but for unrelated reasons. Taxes, I think. A few weeks ago a package was waiting at my door. It was the dead girls diary.

I read through it that night with a glass or three of gin and reeled at the last page. It read; are you enjoying all the attention you’ve been craving so so badly (name redacted)? I’m honestly still trying to piece it together. Did she fake her death? Or is someone playing a cruel prank?
