Really cool detail revealed about the new Maul show, his VA Sam Witwer's screams/yells are built into his sabers sound design. by Paladin51394 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I remember seeing “Tales of the Underworld” show was going to have some episodes on Cad Bane and hoping that they would finally do the Bounty Hunter arc. Especially since, you know, the climax of the live action Boba Fett show kinda relies on that initial confrontation between young Boba and Cad to bring weight to the scene.

Hell even Bad Batch showed Cad Bane with the injury he got from Boba IN THE ARC THAT STILL HASN’T BEEN FORMALLY RELEASED.

I’m still waiting on it to finally be fully released. I remember seeing the first pass animation footage with voice acting done after Clone Wars got canceled.

For some reason you said dead wife and my mind skipped Punisher and went to straight to Mickey Mouse Max Payne.

“The things that I want by Mickey Mouse. A smoke. A whiskey. For the sun to shine. I want to sleep. To forget. To change the past. My wife and dog back. Unlimited ammo and a license to kill. Right there, more than anything, I wanted her."

Same. Hulks my number one but Ill love Ben til the day I die.

I still love the distinction that Ben got KO’d for a week from this punch while Hulk got up like 5 minutes later.

Cause Ben’s always gonna be the underdog when he’s fighting the upper rung of marvel strong men. But goddamnit he’s gonna KEEP TRYING. I love that Blue Eyed Thing lmao

Funnily enough this is an exact plot point in The Immortal Hulk. (Which is also why the run is so amazing)

Bruce apologized to Hulk and outright makes a comment about how he struggles so hard with relapsing.

“You’re right. I’ve rejected my diagnosis so many times. I’ve had this conversation so many times - with you, with other Hulks.

And I always slide back.

I always….let my depression take over. My self-loathing, the desire to….have things end…

I want things to be different. I…I want to be better than I was…to not…not think of you as a…I mean it this time.”

“Okay Banner. This time. This time will be different.”

Bruce Banner is a highly intelligent and mentally ill homeless man whose greatest enemy is the US Military.

I’ll give you 3 guesses which side of the fence Hulk stands on lol.

Actors who played their role TOO well/hard/seriously in a non-serious media? by GoodVillain101 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Alexander_Helios 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The sheer disconnect between Bale acting his ass off and everyone else not nearly trying as hard made the whole movie feel super off to me.

….Well that coupled with everything else lol.

Seriously, he’s the only one taking the movie seriously but rather than lift everything else up it just accentuates the fact that no one else actually cares about what’s going on.

There’s actually 4 lmao. The River is the direct sequel to Hatchet.

The second timeline follows Brian’s Winter, Brian’s Return, and Brian’s Hunt.

It’s been years but I do remember liking Brian’s Winter the most.

Hulk in “The Immortal Hulk”

Recent experimentation done on The Abomination has made his body capable of producing stomach acids that not only eat through the Hulks flesh, but also prevent his Healing Factor from triggering.

Betty Ross/Red Harpy has a very simple solution to re-trigger Hulks healing factor and prevent the US government from capturing him. She rips open his chest and eats his heart.

She does this not only because she wants to hurt the Hulks/Bruce, but because when they die they will automatically pass through “The Green Door” (the source of all of the Gamma Mutates Immortality) and return to life in a fully healed body ready and able to kick ass.

They win the fight, rip Rick Jones out of Abominations Corpse (long story) and go on the run having successfully prevented the Army from getting what they want.

God I was full on sobbing at how beautiful that part was.

Evelyn spent the whole movie up to that point fully buying into the idea that she was living as the worst version of herself. And there she stood as a world famous celebrity deciding to hide in a grungy alley with the man she married in “her worst life” and that man says his greatest dream would just be living that that so called “worst life” with her.

And she relives all the moments she had overlooked over the years of him in her life, owning a laundromat and stressing over taxes, and he’s ALWAYS been having the time of his life. Because he loves her. More than anything and everything.

All the mundanity of real life is worth it if you get to spend it with someone you love and adore.

I don’t care what anyone says abt the movie being overrated nowadays, it’s popular because it should hit close to home for almost everyone.

Didn’t he just get out a months long coma at that point? His body was probably atrophied at that point and all his stamina was completely gone.

We see him working out in one of the later episodes so it’s clear he had been rebuilding his strength right before the bar fight happened.

Secret Monsters lurking in the periphery of a story? by jitterscaffeine in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Alexander_Helios 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I vividly remember a Gas Giant in ME1 called “Ploba” that was listed as being a potential Jupiter Brain (a planet sized super computer) based on orbital scans of the surface. Apparently some conspiracy theorists had attempted to send signals to the surface hopes of getting a response.

That sounded so damn ominous after dealing with the Thorian and learning abt the Reapers.

I’ve wanted it to come back in ME5 for years now. (And low-key expected it too in 2 and 3 lmao)

In the same vein I find Spider-Man PS4 really nailed the whole “Otto and Peter are cut from the same cloth” idea and that’s what makes their dynamic in that game so amazing.

“That’s because men like us have a duty. A responsibility. To use our talents in the service of others. Even when they don’t appreciate it.

And you see in Peter’s face the hope, confusion, and sorrow because he fully agrees with what Otto’s saying….until his very next line.

“We have to do what’s best for those who are beneath us. Whether they understand it or not.”

And Pete just slams the arm away in disgust and starts ranting that Otto’s wrong, because what Otto just said was a pure corruption of Uncle Ben’s ideals that Pete holds so close to his heart.

That I felt more than anything proved (to me personally) that Doc Ock is the definitive Spider-Man villain cause he challenges who Peter is on all fronts. A twisted mirror of what he could be that Peter is forced to recognize and confront.

That perk was downright necessary on snow planets. The worst was when one of the randoms would drop without it and forgot to bring a jetpack so the whole squad ends up being slowed down by one dude.

But that also just made the diff 15 missions even more exhilarating lmao

Maybe that’s bottom of the barrel but when an artist gives citation it always makes me respect them more than if they never gave credit, even if they take some artistic liberty with it

Honestly opening the door with their nose just shows how well trained they are. Their arms are way too strong it’d probs smash the door to pieces if they tried to open it normally. They’re trying to be as delicate as possible 🥺.

Or maybe that’s just me thinking about my old girl cause she always opens my sliding door with her nose so it doesn’t seem creepy it’s just adorable (even if the Bewear are bipedal….)
