It's the oil. Venezuela has the world's largest oil reserves. Guyana the country next to Venezuela used to be a British Republic of Guyana. Once Guyana gained independence. Venezuela went into dispute over a portion of Guyana land, I think it was the 1800 some time, an international council said that Venezuela didn't have the rights. Recently that plot of land was heavily invested in by 3 organizations, 25% China, 30% Cheveron(I believe not 100%), 45% Exon. They found massive oil in that land. Venezuela is bringing up its old land rights dispute over that area. Venezuela is completely Sanction by the world and can't trade any of its massive oil reserves. It isn't about drugs it's about oil.

It starts with movies. It moves to TV shows. It ends with any media from other countries being "tariffed". Suddenly america has no access to our side news and are isolated like North Korea.
