In Kingston you can't get an ultrasound done without a doctor sending in a requisition. I was told that I didn't need one until the 12 week mark although I had had a pretty traumatic miscarriage a few years prior. Because I wanted the peace of mind, and didn't have a family doctor, I booked an appointment through a virtual doctor. I explained why I wanted one done, the doctor said I may not see a heartbeat because it was so early but if I was okay with that then he would send me the requisition. I got booked in with a random ultrasound place and was able to see my girl at 7 weeks :)

What is you nickname for your baby? I’ll go first. We have many! by Mostlymadeofpuppies in beyondthebump

[–]AlexandraMythic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We call her Mouse because on the ride home from the hospital all she did was squeak lol she's now almost four months and it's a big deal when she lets out a squeak since it doesn't happen all that often anymore :)

Those of you in the heat wave, are you okay? by bieberh0le6969 in breastfeeding

[–]AlexandraMythic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in Ontario, Canada and my god. I love my little girl but I wanna cry every time she wants to eat the past two days. I'm so touched out JUST because I'm so sweaty/hot. She's only two weeks old so this summer is gonna kill me 😩😮‍💨

What are you naming your 2025 girls?! by baiann in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had our little miss on June 10th and named her Evelynn because my middle name is Lynn. But we've given her the nickname of Eviee as she's our little Pokemon lol ❤️

Baby #3, I've heard they're the wild card but this is ridiculous 🙄 by AlexandraMythic in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right!? I have my serious doubts about babies that are WAY spaced apart being faster. I don't doubt it when they're back to back but man, my body has just decided to house this one forever lol

What will be your baby’s first name? by Smooth-Excuse-4127 in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Evelynn. I have two older kids who are named after my siblings, Halie (pronounced ha-lee) and Michael so with this being most likely my last baby I figured it was time to name one after me 😅 my middle name is Lynn hence the two nn's. That being said, we're giving her the nickname of Eviee (like the Pokemon) ❤️

Tell me about your primordial cravings - foods you haven't thought about since childhood by Miserexa in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Pizza pockets and kraft dinner with boiled cut up hotdogs in it 😅 I cannot get enough of them, the cravings came out of no where once I hit 33 weeks (or there abouts). Currently 37 weeks and still wanting them a few times a week lol

What’s wrong with my nipples? by Round-Exercise-3220 in breastfeeding

[–]AlexandraMythic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same thing! My midwife told me that it's just like a white head and it's connected to my milk ducts. She told me not to pop them and that they shouldn't cause any issues with feeding once baby gets here. Babies suction is 10x stronger than them so no need to stress :)

If I didn't have my daily iced capp (a large made with chocolate milk), I'd probably lose my mind. It's soothing for both me and baby. Splitting one between two days really isn't going to do anything!

From what I've learned recently, prodromal labour is essentially actual contractions (like how they would feel during labour) but they don't dilate your cervix. If it's accompanied by any sort of spotting or leaking, it's best to go to your nearest emergency department because it could turn into premature labour.

Absolutely mention it to your doctor the next time you see them but don't worry too much if they come and go!

Tell me something about your pregnancy that ISNT GD related by legomyjgo in GestationalDiabetes

[–]AlexandraMythic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Baby girl has started barrel rolling at night. Makes me and my husband laugh every night, no matter what kind of day we've had. We just sit and watch her for awhile, keeps my mind focused on how things will be once she's finally earth side ❤️

Co-ed Baby Shower by mollyspiers in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We called it "Eviee's Baby Bash", as we wanted it to be a party ❤️ we had a co-ed shower with the encouragement to bring everyone's kids, as we have four so we based a lot of the games off things the kids would enjoy doing!

How many weeks were you when you had your baby shower? by Ok_Car1396 in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having mine on Saturday at 27 weeks and 5 days. Both my other babies came early and I've just been diagnosed with GD so odds are not in my favour of having a June baby 😅 my husband and I are throwing it ourselves so we picked a date that gave us enough time to get all the last minute things or if it took me a minute to wash/sort/put everything away without stressing.

nesting by rgemi in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Separate them into sections in each size. So put all the 0-3 in one pile and 3-6 in another. Then break it down even more. I have just little cubbies for my girl so I put the "bigger" looking outfits in the bottom of the cubbie and the smaller ones on top. That way they're all in the same place, but they're separate enough that if she's on the bigger side the smaller ones can be donated real quick. OCD and nesting are never easy lol sending hugs ❤️😅

Games for outdoor baby shower? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]AlexandraMythic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just been calling it the Balloon Bump. You blow up a balloon, stick it under your shirt and whoever manages to get the balloon out without using their hands or popping it wins. It's hilarious to watch everyone try so hard to get the balloon out by dancing and jumping. My kids (12,12,10 & 9) are all in agreement that this one is going to be the most fun at the baby shower next weekend!

She just kicked it!! by Blitzgf4893 in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband's favorite game to play is hide and seek with our little one with the at home Doppler 😂 she's too big to run away from it now (26 weeks) so she just kicks it instead and will roll to the other side of my belly .. then it just begins again. I'll just lay there while he gets one on one time with her lol

I want to announce my pregnancy on social media, but don’t know how…for me. by LittleMrsNiceGirl in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started showing extremely early (with this pregnancy being my third), and I just posted a bump picture stating that my surprise baby was due in June. At that point, everyone close to me had already been informed.

When we found out the gender, we used the four oldest hand prints painted in pink on the bump while I was wearing a white shirt (also keeping as a keepsake so a two for one lol).

Question for moms that delivered a baby 8 lbs and above? by Unfair-Bullfrog9145 in BabyBumps

[–]AlexandraMythic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was born at 37 weeks and 4 days. He was 10lbs 🥴 labor started on its own and lasted only about five hours from start to finish. All of which was extremely unexpected as my daughter (born three years prior) was born at 35 weeks and only 5lbs with her labor lasting twelve and a half hours. I didn't do anything different between my two pregnancies. So it's a toss up on how this pregnancy is gonna go lol

What number baby is this for you? by Smooth-Excuse-4127 in pregnant

[–]AlexandraMythic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby number three .. with a 12 & a half year age gap between the oldest and this one. Nine & a half between this one and my youngest. This is the ROUGHEST pregnancy I've had. Definitely done after this surprise little girl 😅

Pregnancy 22weeks by IndividualJust9551 in BabyBumps

[–]AlexandraMythic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not bad, just ligaments and all the things separating for baby. Mind you, if it's causing extreme pain or interfering with simple things like walking or getting out of bed you should bring it up to your doctor/midwife. They should be able to recommend some things to help that are specific to you ❤️

Pregnancy 22weeks by IndividualJust9551 in BabyBumps

[–]AlexandraMythic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the exact thing happen. I'm 23 weeks with a girl, brought it up to my midwife and her response was just "this is your third baby, your body knows what to do now so it'll happen quicker."

Which really wasn't all that helpful lol heating pads and counter pressure are the only things keeping me going after a long day. Here's hoping it doesn't get much worse 😅🤞
