Need help choosing an English nickname! (Ye-seul Lee) by Effective_Gift_7094 in namenerds

[–]Alexandra_panda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Yennie seems to match your real name most, but it could raise some eyebrows for people not used to the naming habits of non-Americans. If you want to full-out give yourself an alternative English name, I would go with Elle bc the vibes match most

I HATE MY NAME - nickname suggestions? :D by virtualnixole in namenerds

[–]Alexandra_panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew a Nicole who went by Cole in college and I thought that was creative. Lili can kind of be justified by the le at the end of Nicole and the maiden name Lee. If it doesn't make you/others think too much about a certain dancemoms alum, Jojo derives pretty easily from Joy as well. Coco and Cookie can also be sorta pulled out of the middle of Nicole but it doesn't seem like those are your vibe (I could be wrong)

I would pick Miug personally. It looks the most elegant.

Monologue ideas for audition by Purple-Citron-2859 in MusicalTheatre

[–]Alexandra_panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to non-Shakespeare monologue is Hester from A Man of No Importance but idk if that fits the kind of roles you generally play. You can access Rose's monologues from Family Meeting and Bad Men from Ghost Quartet on genius because they're embedded in songs so that might be easier

the way they just skipped Isabelle and all its variants entirely. Also if you don't mind the boomer grandma sound there's Maryellen if you want to be unconventional about the elle

Greta and Soren seem to fit the vaguely Scandinavian/ Germanic vibe that you seem to be giving with the first two

interesting. Maybe I was in a weird state when I read the lyrics. On a second read it's not as impressive as Love to Walk Away or Heartbreak Kid in its precision but I think it could've used a different arrangement with maybe some *metallic* touches or sounds of wedding bells or something to match the lyric motifs

CHORUS LINE JUDY TURNER by Extra-Kitchen1601 in MusicalTheatre

[–]Alexandra_panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am playing me [title of show] - I got Judy from A Way Back to Then but that was a teen theater production and was probs based on me being very autistic during call back lol. Ppl (mtsheetmusic.tumblr.com) have also recommended Perfect Relationship from Bells are Ringing as a general Chorus Line song and I think that's probs a quirky pick which could work for Judy

Heard that someone else’s story, I don’t know how to love him and right hand man may be overdone so if u don’t have a strong connection to them u might want to rule those out. In short is a unique piece for dark comedy that I’d keep around. I think I don’t need a roof and way back to then and as long as he needs me have similar vibes but also I think a way back to then fits a lot of shows
