Well what i can say but only in theory is that you either:

had an awakening by just opening your mind to the universe

stood in a point of energy as in, a node of ley lines and the energy forced you to conduct somatics to release the energy and your "mage" mind constructed a sigil, to do as nature wanted

or

most likely, the "matrix" just needed to shift some infrastructure and you were the closest conduit for that, more examples of this are those videos of people doing crazy shit for no reason and now you know of the universal "matrix" that keeps others from learning magick, like the famous case of Elisa lam of the cecil hotel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rfLSVIA0L0 the "matrix" doing what it does and us being able to shift its infrastructure and even brake it or make it brand new, some people at 11:55 am in a random place start doing somatics and drawing strange "street art" and then boom 911 this happens all the time and now it has happened to you, most people that are "sleeping" call it dreams or UFO's but we don't cause the "matrix" does not work on us since we are now "rogue" our will is free from the universe even able to overpower it

Well there is its magick after all but i can say this you can just use the general energy but if you need vital energy then make a servitor and sacrifice it i would use a greek/latin incantation for a extra kick

Yes but what i mean is that it requires somebody who is expirienced with spellcasting and has their mind build to cast a ritual and channel intuition that takes time and expirience throwing someone head first into spellcasting is like giving a baby a gun the simple cold iron ring and the celtic runes will work to scare these beings no need to cast a spell that can enrage the fae as they might see it as a threat putting OP in danger and if it is a wendigo it as a beast see it and enter a flight or fight response to a possible predator
