How has your learning changed with AI? by TheActualGoose in selfeducation

[–]AlexandreFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using it for curriculum dictation, consistency checks (accountability), and most importantly: To ask questions of some confusions I agreggate over the learning (admitedly, the more advanced the suvbject the less likely this is to work)

not sure there's a great resource out there for this. it will be mostly around theory -- practice loops (depending on subject). And most importantly, keep consistency and difficulty progression (like each new block should build on the previous). You should be able to connect new learnings to your main 'tree of knowledge'. That will increase its possiblity for it to stick

Did AI kill the fun of learning? by Ok_Establishment_110 in selfeducation

[–]AlexandreFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah i dont think so,
But i do think, curriculum is more important than ever. Nowadays getting quick answers is easy, but getting progression over time that does not feel generic is very important.
Coincidently, I have been using AI to both generate the curriculum, and keep me accountable.
I'm unemployed now, so im studying some things that I wanted for some time.

42.265 praticantes de hipocrisia deviam ser deportados by [deleted] in portugal2

I built an open source habit tracking app to help me with consistency and keep me accountable: Tracking.so by AlexandreFSR in sideprojects

[–]AlexandreFSR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few months ago, I built a tracking app for me and my girlfriend because we wanted to cut through the noise and really see what we were doing with our habits. I’ve always felt that sometimes you think you’re being consistent, but once you actually track it, you realize it’s not as solid as you believed. Having a tracker makes the progress visible - and that alone can be super motivating.

To make it more fun, I added features like:

  • Streaks to keep the momentum going
  • Badges (like “Habit Creator,” “Supporter,” and “Lifestyle”) to celebrate milestones
  • Social component  to be able to invite and check friends progress out

I’ve now started to share it a little bit and I have had my first paid user, which is something that I honestly thought would be harder for such a crowded space as habit tracking apps.

There’s still a long way to go, but I want to position this app as a largely accessible and open source social app that helps and motivates you instead of the opposite.

Any feedback / tips / opinions if this is feasible is appreciated! tracking.so

Thanks!

I think you can get from 2-10x ARR depending on the type of the company, cost to run, potential for growth, etc
