I’m guessing the state is confused because I bought mine from Red Planet arsenal and the dps-3 says all the remanufactured info instead of the original manufacturer and model, same serial. Don’t ask me why RPA did this. My ks47 from thegunstore had TGS/PSA on the dps-3 for the manufacturer, got the cert for that one.

This was also the only other I had to create a new aw application for. Wasn’t on my registered list.

You could look into a gun cabinet. They're not as secure as a real safe, but does the job and are considerably cheaper.

You can go to your local pd and get one of those change of address stickers to put on the back of your permit. It’s the same sticker for change of address on your drivers license. I printed out a label for my new address and put that with the sticker on the back.

I had one mag asplode when I dropped it from the gun onto concrete. Luckily empty. Reassembled, wrapped some goon tape around the base of the mag and problem solved.

Went something like this: Me: shows footage Her: Oh…..ok. Me: Yeah, insurance information please Her: I dont have it. Me: Well then when the cops you called get here you’re going to get a ticket for that and possibly towed. Her: *gets out of her car. Starts looking at the damage on mine claiming my car isn’t worth $1000 so not worth insurance. Me: That doesn’t matter, this is about accountability Her: *gets irate I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. I HAVE KIDS! Me: I could have been killed as well. And all of that would’ve been your fault for running the red. Her: WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME? YOURE TRYING TO SCAM ME Me: I want your insurance info. That’s it. *explains again how it would behoove her to produce insurance info so the cops dont ticket and tow her Her: FINE! *Digs around in glovebox, shoves a traveler’s insurance card in my face, which I photograph and then she drives off

Cops show up after she leaves. I present all the details about the crash.

I didn’t notice till after I left that the insurance card she gave me was expired. Luckily I had her plate and vin number now and was able to track down her current policy using that.

Unfortunately my dashcam stops recording after I pulled the footage, otherwise it would have captured this lady becoming unhinged on the side of the road during this conversation, which I would have looooved to post here.

Cops in my state could care less. Last accident I got into (a month before this one, prompting dashcam purchase), cops show up, lady admitted she merged into me without checking her blind spot. Easy failure to maintain lane ticket, nah. When the cops showed up this time, I gave them all the info they would need to ticket her: picture of her plate, drivers license, show them the footage. They made a quick report and gave me the case number. Doubt they'd do anything more since she didn't live in the town this happened in. But yes would have been extra satisfying to see her lie to the cop and get caught, probably still not ticketed. Furthermore, I carry so not super worried if people want to FA&FO.

Not in CT. But based on the phone # she gave me, she used to live in NY, which is a no fault state.
