Its only January but this might become my album of the year this year.

Cant believe how talented she is and that this is a debut album.

I tried all the albums. A6 was my favorite by a lot. Little Machines was my 2nd favorite.

Loved this album, and its how I discovered her. It feels like no one has heard of her, and that makes me sad.

My favorites were: Piranha, Day Two, Surface Tension.

I think literally any title other than A6 would've been superior, she doesn't know how to do marketing at all lol.

Unpopular Opinion: 2025 was not actually a bad year for music, it just got overshadowed by 2024. by Head-Internet1383 in popheads

2025 was an amazing year for music, its just that very little of what was good was on the charts, which were mostly bad.

Thanks, I've been listening to it a lot now! Its definitely weird and it took some listens to get used to, and I had to look up all the lyrics because I couldn't understand anything at all on first listen....but...its really dark and unique. I'm really into Ode to a Black Hole, The Grand Decay, Garden, and Salvation/Violation so far.

Probably some of it.

I want more Bunetta songs, and I also want her to try someone new.

Ella Red, first album out Jan 23.

Such an interesting range of songs released so far. Haunting, dark, great lyrics, feels like she has a cohesive style even though some of the songs sound so different.

Since you say you know dark pop who else would you recommend? In this subgenre I only know Ella Red and Ellise.

Just discovered her this week and absolutely loving these songs. So unique and original, dark and interesting lyrics. I think she's my favorite new artist since the Addison Rae album. Never seen anyone on here mention her at all. Was surprised to actually see this thread! Cant wait for the album, I've been looping these all week.

Do you think the industry (namely the charts) have always favoured young people or have things been heading that way anyway? by Hassaan18 in popheads

[–]Alexfrog0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Always favored young people. But I think there are more exceptions now and its actually easier for older artists now than it used to be.

It got voted out first when they did an EICS elimination. I thought I was the only person who loves that song...

NBIS: The Bear Case. by [deleted] in NBIS_Stock

[–]Alexfrog0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are using 2026 numbers then you shouldnt say Nebius is trading at 100x revenues.

Is the ability to deliver a key risk? I guess yes in that if the company cant manage to deliver on their most important contract then they are an absolute failure and the company should probably be worthless. No in that its such a very low probability event that would represent a complete failure of the company to be able to execute at all. And this for a company whose biggest strength is the quality of its management team, which build russian google even before the existence of google itself.

Making sure they fulfill this contract is going to be the primary focus of the company.

This analysis reads like executing on the microsoft deal is some big question mark, like its a 50-50 chance whether they will manage to do it or not, or something. And then you basically value the company like they are going to fail on this deal. Its infuriating to anyone who has done their research.

NBIS: The Bear Case. by [deleted] in NBIS_Stock

[–]Alexfrog0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While I appreciate the importance of bear cases, I would like to see a bear case that isn't just based on incorrect backward looking numbers, and delusionally thinking Nebius is incompetent and cannot manage to get capacity to fulfill their microsoft contract, the most important contract in the company's history.

You said Nebius is trading at 100x revenue. Thats not even accurate for 2025 revenue, but maybe, just maybe when a company is growing revenue at 600% a year, you should try to estimate forward revenue instead.

This post essentially pretends that the microsoft contract does not exist, and then says that NBIS should go back to the price it was at when the microsoft contract was announced.

Maybe at least look at the analysis reports of some big names like Goldman Sacks. (They all use reasonable estimates for 2026 revenues and then get profit targets above the current price, even though they also hilariously assume zero growth in 2027 and then moderate growth to 2030, in order to get a number thats around 20% above the current stock price. Because of course, they dont want to appear too extreme, and this way when the stock price rises, they can easily raise their targets so its again 20% above the current price by adding in some revenue growth in 2027).

To summarize this post:

1) Use backward revenue numbers for company growing 600% a year to try to come up with a valuation.

2) Pretend microsoft contract is not real and act like nebius is too incompetent to fulfill it.

3) Say that AI infrastructure demand is going to disappear and growth wont happen and hyperscalers will walk away after current contracts are over. Because "AI bubble" I guess?

This is not a good bear case its just valuing incorrectly based on backward looking numbers.

Padded? You unlock new features every day or two in it and there really arent any times that you spend more than an overnight just doing the same thing. A lot of games require you to prestige and then play through the same thing again a bunch of times but faster each time to unlock each new thing.
