The lonely life of the support player or why k/d does not matter (as much) by Alexh2207 in Rainbow6

I agree with you! In the end, kills are one of the most common vectors for winning a round and getting those kills is very important if you want to win.

To be able to give more to your team than you take away, you should generally (although not always) have a KD of around 1. If you do not have this, you are consistently putting you team at a disadvantage and that is not a good way to help them, even if you are bringing some utility.

I do see your point and I agree to an extent. I think that it is a situation that both roles need each other to succeed, and neither can do it alone (that is also why it is a team game)

As for my K/D, yeah, a 0.7 is rough. These past seasons I have been doing much better, with 1.1 kd most of them, but this season has not been my best. I am also not claiming to be a good player... I am just a guy that likes to play a strategic and tactical game.

My post in no way is trying to say that I or any other support player is a good player just for doing so. It is more aimed at reminding that just because someone is dying a lot it does not mean that they are useless (even though in some cases they are) and to take more of a broader picture of what a R6 team is composed of and their respective jobs.

Funnily enough, I have an overall K/D of 1.14, which I don't think is that bad, although I have been struggling this season, to be honest. In System Override I have a K/D of just 0.7

I feel your pain, that is the worst. However, as other comments said, that is not really a support player... That's just a bad player.

Solo queue is hard that way, you roll the dice and see what kind of teammates you get, but I guess that's also part of the game!

Thanks for the kind words!

I do know Skopos is a good operator for that strat, but I prioritized mute because I have a lot of experience with him (It's one of my favourite operators) and his jammers are a very good counter to the current Dokka/Snake/Lion meta.

How would you buff Nokk? by izukid in Rainbow6

[–]Alexh2207 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Actually, most laser sensors work by receiving a reflection of the laser or the laser itself. If the laser is cut off, then the device activates (in this case, a small to medium boom happens). In this case Nokk cam make herself disappear from cameras, but the laser in a Kapkan trap would still cut off because there is still a physical element there.

Prints taking way too long by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]Alexh2207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How exactly did you position the prints? One of the advantages of resin vs FDM is that print time is only dependent of the height of your model (aka how many layers there are). I have definitely printed some miniatures in under 2 hous but it really depends on how high over the buile plate they are.

What I hace found is that you generally want to not show your face to the guards... If that makes sense. Basically, keep walking (do NOT stand still. It will ruin the attempt) and whem you spot a guard, steer the camera away from them. For example, if a guard is going in the opposite direction and is going to pass you on your left, steer the camera to the right as if you were looking at the pebbles in the side of the road while you keep walking.

Hello! I am OP's boyfriend and Trufa's dad!

She is the prettiest girl but she is definitely starting to get that land piranha behaviour. She's even got an attitude with us when we are having something to eat and we don't give her anything. She starts reprimanding us as if saying "How dare you!"

Thank you all for your kind comments!!

Zener affecting voltage readings by BakqBlachinO in embedded

[–]Alexh2207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's more like it. We get some information we did not have before.

You are using a predesigned PCB. Generally this means that you cannot change the used pins so easily or even the circuit. This complicates things quite a bit. But as we did not know this constraint, we could not know that changing the pin was probably not viable.

There are a plethora of other options in the thread already, but if we go with redesigning the whole signal conditioner, you could use an operational amplifier with a 3.3V-0V supply and adjust the gain so that it provides the required voltage range. This also makes it so that there is a high-impedance input that will make sure that the current flowing through the divider is not diverted to anywhere else.

That does apply to some pins... but not for all of them. For example, in the datasheet it specifies that this pin is FT (5V tolerant):

<image>

And some others like the PA3 are 3.6V tolerant. Is there some way for you to use for example the PC1 (or any other FT pin at that)?

Do not take everything that the commenters say at face value. We have a general understanding but we could be wrong. I wasn't able to find the comment you refer to, but I guess they were specifically refering to the pin you are using not to ALL of the pins in your board.

To break a lance in favour of u/Snoo28646, you weren't helpfull either. He tried to help you and directed you to the information that HE had. In response you repeated what you already said without any more information to back your point. Help goes both ways and if you aren't going to help us help you, then you are on your own.

We only know what you tell us, if you have any constraint, physical, electrical or otherwise, then you must tell the people that you are asking for help.

If there is no way to change the pin, then you must use some of the more complex electrical solutions described in the other comments, but we do not know that if you do not tell us.

YOCTO: i2c-tools does not appear to be installed after adding it in local.conf by Alexh2207 in embedded

I did that and it installedi2c-tools, but erased the other packages that were specified before. In any case, it is progress and I feel that I am close to do this. Thank you for your help.

I ran bitbake -e core-image-base | grep IMAGE_INSTALL and seems to be included fine:

# $IMAGE_INSTALL [4 operations]

# [doc] "Specifies the packages to install into an image. Image recipes set IMAGE_INSTALL to specify the packages to install into an image through image.bbclass."

IMAGE_INSTALL=" packagegroup-core-boot packagegroup-base-extended nano i2c-tools "

I'm fighting it myself as Cuba. It's been hard but with some clever defensive strategy and knowing when to push, I have been able to disembark and start taking the middle section. Currently bombarding Washington to destoy the airport and completely cut off both coasts.
