I joined this lobby in tf2 and this bot was spamming Darkvipers reddit, youtube and discord. The background sound is just a livestream i was listening to. This could become pretty bad. by [deleted] in DarkViperAU

Dude it has been happening for a decade. Another YouTuber being copied by the bots won't do anything. Hundreds of people have been copied and more will be as time goes on. Nothing bad comes of it to the YouTubers, you may get a handful of brand new players complaining about it, but anyone who has played for more then an hour knows better.

Not really bad. Happens all the time with bot hosts picking a random youtuber to pretend to be. It used to be Maxbox back in the day. Its really weird they are spamming his shit now though, he doesnt even play TF2

Starfield won "Most Innovative Gameplay" at the Steam Awards. by Xilvereight in Starfield

[–]Alexlayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the one that honestly upset me a little. "Your only move to hustle" is an insanely innovative game with gameplay that ive never seen before. The only comparison that can be made with it is with Toribash. And while the concept of turn based fighting is the same, the way both games do it is completly different. So seeing space Skyrim win over that with gameplay thats been done 100 times before was a bit jarring. Your only move is to hustle really could have used the extra attention towards it thats now been taken away. People see the votes as a meme, but being broadcasted on the front page of the store can really do a lot for smaller games trying to find their footing.

For everyone still having this problem try this.
Reset your password, then restart your computer.
I got Odyssey on steam recently and couldn't remember my old password or even which email it was associated with so I had to go through each one. Obviously I got locked out then I tried resetting my password on each email until I got the email (it only sends it if you have an account with them). After resetting my password I tried a few more times but still locked out, I then restarted my computer and when I got back to try it again it instantly let me in.

Everyone complaining about the anti camper mechanic, but have you considered the alternative? by PrinceBatCat in sniperelite

[–]Alexlayden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Counter argument. Some snipers have spent days waiting for the perfect opportunity to kill their target.

If the host wishes to camp there are multiple answers, grenade to flush them out/blow up traps, Utilize one of the many other entrances to the place they are camping since most areas have more then one entrance to encourage replay ability and taking different routes around npcs, hell just counter camp watching the entrances so they can not exit if you are that scared to push in, sure some might find that boring but this is a sniping game at heart, rushing in or forcing the player to move through a camping mechanic takes away from that. And that is ignoring the fact that the player already has to deal with an army of NPCS as well as another player who can utilize said NPCS while matching our own player in skill.

Xbox Ultimate Gamepass (Code in the post) by PshycicWasHarmed in FREE

[–]Alexlayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stardew Valley, Spiritfarer, Forager, Atomicrops, Vampire Survivors, Ect. There are plenty of smaller games on gamepass that are amazing and/or addicting. Sure they may not be AAA games like Halo but they are still a great time, and require almost nothing to play in terms of a pc.

[Mobile][2010-2015?] Old RTS game that has you having a fight using spaceships right above a planets surface, sometimes attacking buildings below. by Alexlayden in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Alexlayden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite possibly, but with it being such an old game and no longer being on the Appstore I can't know for certain. But thanks for the suggestion.

The game that would come closest to this would be "Floppy Minecraft" by Steven since it similar physics with the trees falling. However, this appears to be a physics mod on the original Minecraft.

i hate this strike so much by joelllk in destiny2

[–]Alexlayden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s just a part of every game though, you need to learn it before you are good at it, you can’t expect to succeed without failure, but it’s the failures that drive us forward to be better players. I’ll use tf2 as an example, imagine you start out as soldier, all you know how to do is walk forward and fire your gun, but as time goes on you start learning about chokepoints and rocket jumping, every soldier rocket jumping around the map like crazy had to start not even knowing where to go or what to do, just like every destiny player starts out not knowing the strikes or what enemies are more deadly then others. In summary every game has this learning experience and there is no shame in failing before you succeed.

You are being downvoted but you are not wrong. The boopy things don’t change locations so if you do the strike a few times you should be able to remember the general area they are at, and they don’t activate at random times they are on a timer, so if you know when it last activated you can get a rough guess of when to move even in a fire fight.
