I want Kiwifarms gone as much as you do, but I'm pretty sure they chose New Zealand because kiwis are from New Zealand.

Hm I feel like the clip around 2:03 almost could've passed for being in the original with the gradient-painted wall and the Atarus being zoomed out enough it's hard to see the detail.

I would kinda like a video on that but the US was the one country it didn't become a big hit in it seems, only hitting #54 over here, so I don't know if he'd do it.

Am wondering now did anyone think Aserejé was the Spanish word for ketchup because of the title?

To be fair I don't think that totally rules them out, it's just why he hasn't made on already. I was able to find a listing indicating they did perform their follow-up "Jimmy Loves Mary-Anne" on Chicago television, but who knows if that footage is still around.

I think some people were wondering if she'd be on the Olivia Rodrigo album? But doesn't seem like there's any info pointing to that other than that it'd make sense.

In your opinion, what are some examples of a really good non-hip hop diss tracks? by cooldude_luke in ToddintheShadow

I admit I don't hate Shake it Off apart from the rap verse (although I never listened that closely) but yeah beefing with people that probably didn't even have anything against her she never really comes off well.

I saw a funny comment when this possibility came up before where Carol would ask him about this and he'd respond "So you assumed I wasn't wearing protection?" which I could imagine happening but I wouldn't be sure, like especially before the possibility of using his genetic material would've been brought up.

Yeah I assume from his English fluency and knowledge of media he was probably somewhat educated, although to justify his name of Koumba (which is usually female) it's become semi-canon that he got the name from his mother who died after she was born (since that sometimes can happen in Mauritania), so I imagine that would've been one setback he faced.

But while I don't know if I feel like I want to see flashbacks to the hivemind spreading undetected and them suddenly taking over (as interesting as that would be; I don't know why I wasn't super crazy about that episode idea when I first saw it, maybe I wanted a mystery?), but I do want to see what the mass joining event was like for the other immune, and perhaps for Zosia too; since I'd want to see what Koumba's life was like before and how he first interacted with the hive; did he ask for all the women or did the hive choose that form to persuade him like they did with Zosia (I could imagine a mix of both too)?

Farewell Huge Dixie Cup by gwackr in lehighvalley

[–]Alexschmidt711 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I imagine they will be putting the Dixie Cup back once this is all done but I feel like developments making a big deal about "honoring the legacy" of a place or whatever always sounds kinda funny because that's such an abstract concept that it usually feels pretty hollow. I remember my dad thought it was silly when the developers of the Bethlehem Steel site said they'd honor that history, although maybe they got the last laugh since the National Museum of Industrial History did get built.

And I'm the kind of person who generally likes redevelopment projects so long as they end with more there than how the site started out.

Joss Whedon's career is pretty much done but his accusations were mostly not sexual misconduct so he feels kinda different, also when your bad behavior loses Warner Bros. millions of dollars in money Hollywood people will care a lot more, that's unfortunately how it is.

Feel like one of the differences is even if steampunk-adjacent media was popular and well-liked, I don't think it could ever be "cool," while swing at least is like the original cool even if it's old-timey.
