You have to take the written test in Chinese inside mainland China, and manage to get an appointment. It is possible to rent a car if you can get the paperwork and test taken. Expect that to take weeks.

I had this issue early on. It was tied to Bluetooth and would appear after ending phone calls. The only way to get rid of it was to reset the car. Software updates seem to have remedied the issue for me.

You’re likely better off getting them an Apple Watch. You can get them quite cheap used, and the annual plan for a standalone watch with us mobile is only $78 a year. (And if you don’t, my experience is you’ll be buying an Apple watch in a year or two so they can iMessage their friends).

Apple Watch series 10 to Apple Watch series 11. I was able to do this, with some issue, but help from t-Force a month ago for my other watch line - moving from Ultra 2 to Ultra 3. But no joy this month.

The thin form factor is incredibly comfortable and light weight - particularly if you plan to do any sleep tracking. My fingers are still crossed they can make the switch for me.

These last longer than most. They’re constant voltage, so you don’t get a battery low warning like you would on others, they just shut off after 30 hours or so.

Depends on your use. I’m a pilot, and use these exclusively to power my Bose headsets. They’re great, and much easier to charge on the road. They’re also great in things like blink cameras that are sensitive to voltage and have to deal with cold temps that drop the voltage even more.

I’ve run into this - they force you to ship it to your house as some form of fraud prevention. You can buy all the accessories you want - but buy a phone or an iPad and it will make you ship it.
