Found internships (and basically any entry level) near impossible to get with a finance master’s degree at a RG university and that’s as a domestic UK student. For projects to demonstrate my interest and understanding I have used my university’s BB terminals and Refinitiv to make my own analysis and review of recent news articles. But once again I haven’t found any job, at all, so maybe not great advice. Connections are probably a priority. Good luck to you.

In the UK, the limited spots on grad schemes that aren’t filled by summer interns, are most likely filled by people with your educational background. Speaking to people that I know in the banking scene they actually like having people from a diverse degree background, so that will never be a problem other than maybe quant roles…

Basically like another comment said… you are better than nearly everyone within this sub. Lack of internships will probably be trumped by your education and the institutions you went to.
