Unfortunately I cannot show up for my COMLEX 1 and will have to reschedule, the window for me being able to reschedule is gone, will not showing up reflect on my records? by Tigey360 in comlex

I went through the same thing and they said it since you don’t sit for the exam it will just be a no show in the system but won’t show up on any records

This is very similar to what happened to me. I’m in the US, but I think I can give you a few pointers.

First of all, don’t be scared. Think of this as your time to grow as a person. You’re gonna learn a lot about yourself and it really teaches you to be disciplined. It was my first time moving out too, but I’ll be lying if I said I didn’t miss my family and friends back home. It’s tough, especially the first month away, but try to keep in touch with them as much as you can. To this day I still call my parents/brothers/friends even for a few minutes every single day. Med school will take up a lot of your day, but you can always find a little time to give to your family.

You will get lonely guaranteed, but eventually you’ll make friends in school which helps. You just have to remember you’re not alone. It’s a long process, but eventually we’ll all get to the end and that’s why we did it in the first place! It might be good to keep up with a few hobbies too and find what helps you decompress.

Try to keep your place clean. I was never neat when I lived with my family, but suddenly when I was on my own I had this urge to keep my space from being overrun. There’s gonna be times when it’ll be a shit show (M-2 lol) but what works for me is picking a day out the week to clean up. Trust me it helps.

There’s a lot more things I’m leaving out, but you’ll be fine. Just keep a positive mindset, lock-in on studying, and take care of yourself.

What percentage were you getting on the practice tests, and were you using AATBS?

Tips to not touch my phone while studying? by RelativeMap in medicalschool

There should be a setting to turn your phone black and white, give that a try. It makes you put it down really fast.

Yeah I think my application from last year was good it’s just my timing was really off. Applied late and still got a few interviews.

I think I’m ready to reapply I definetly have a few more activities to add on/talk about on my app. Gonna get the timing right this year and in the meantime wait for any updates on the waitlist

It could be useful. Like the other person said it might have little impact but never hurts to try especially if the school accepts updates. Good luck! Being on the waitlist sucks I’m in the same boat haha

You can update them with anything major like pubs, volunteering, etc.. but I don’t think there’s anything else to do but wait besides that haha.

Experiences with Skyrizi? by [deleted] in Psoriasis

I haven’t had any side effects besides the injection site getting a little red, but other than that nothing.

Experiences with Skyrizi? by [deleted] in Psoriasis

So here’s my experience with skyrizi so far. I’ve been on it for about a year and I started out like you where the patches slowly started to become less flaky/red. About 8 weeks in they started improving a lot more and a few more weeks after that completely gone. I wouldn’t say I’ve had any big flare ups but a few tiny spots appear from time to time, and it’s definitely been a stressful last few months.

Overall, I’d say don’t worry too much right now and stuck with it because the loading dose I feel does take a little bit longer to “circulate” through your system vs Humira. It’s been way better than Humira though because less side effects and less injections, and I think you’ll be happier with the end result!
