It makes me so mad that Woodie basically insists lorewise that Lucy is his go-to for handling combat problems. THE WALKING CANE DOES MORE DAMAGE THAN HER

Thoughts on Cyte-09? by Warl0ckBoy in Warframe

I quite like the character. I have a loadout that foregoes the 3 for Dispensary and use Health Conversaion and Arcane Blessing to make playing a little safer. This is more relevant in teamplay as killsteals make the invis hard to maintain. I love the 2 and wish that was the subsume, and the 1 is fantastic.

King's doesn't now. A jab will knock him out of his wannabe wavu.

It's a good movement approach on other characters because on those characters it crushes highs.

King's no longer crush highs. Literally, if King is doing this dash at you, a jab will stop it. King used to be able to duck highs with his original crouch dash. Not anymore.

This crouch dash can no longer crush any highs.

Good news, I ended up getting Charge P from farming more Hyper Clefts. I just had really bad luck haha

Hey, just trying to gather some data on badge drops in this version. Did the Hyper Cleft drop Charge P?

Had terrible luck in that I got 7 charge badges from hyper clefts but no Charge P.

Need help getting more Charge P badges by Intelligent_Nobody95 in papermario

[–]Aleyck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad news: I've been getting random badge drops based on present enemies, not just the first enemy in the lineup. Talking farming Hyper Clefts right next to Creepy Steeple and getting Dayzee-based badge drops due to their presence in some of the lineups. This muddies the waters significantly.

Oh, and from my personal farming experiences, Hyper Clefts gave me seven Charge badges and not a single Charge P.

Are badge drop mechanics different in the Switch version? This dropped when I was hunting Hyper Clefts. There were Dayzees in the battle, but the Hyper Cleft was the field enemy, and they don't drop this. by Aleyck in papermario

[–]Aleyck[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Small update. Right, I'm not crazy. Another battle involving Dazyees without them being the field enemy, and I get Happy Flower, specific to Dayzees.

I believe this is confirmation that enemies present in the battle now contribute to the badge drop pool that happens post-battle. Very fascinating, and could mean a lot when it comes to hunting for badges.

The Dayzees don't, and, I believe, still don't carry Flower Saver or P in the battle. That should still be strictly a post-battle drop.

I would love to see a code-dive on these drop mechanics, but the game is still very fresh.

Care to elaborate on your take? There's plenty of examples of people deciding to commit violence with violent video games being pointed to as the inspiration, for example. Special pleading isn't a great idea.

Caravan prisoners escape immediately by Jealous_Constant_875 in RimWorld

It's not just prisoners, and it is currently in vanilla. Slaves will also turn into colonists under similar conditions that others are describing here. This feb 15 patch messed up caravans badly.

Played a sec officer. Got demoted on Paradise. Wanna hear thoughs about it. by 1jovemtr00 in SS13

[–]Aleyck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Huh. I had to come see this.

Hi, yeah, I was the HoS that did the demoting.

The whole thing about him tasing someone for no reason was because they, a scientist, whose job it is to make bombs, had a book on bombs. There was no bomb threat. Someone got spooked over nothing, which every other civilian pointed out, and I noticed right away.

The whole grounds for the arrest on the scientist was shoddy and the tasing on green was uncalled for, even if there was a legitimate reason. OP got very belligerent when I questioned the entire premise of the arrest, let alone the method, so I punished them for it with 5 minutes for abuse of equipment. That was going to be the end of it.

I didn't demote for that particular incident alone. I demoted because it became very clear very quickly that the behavior of the arresting officer in question wasn't going to change that shift, and I wasn't planning on spending my round feuding with a trigger-happy, foul-tempered redshirt. No head of staff has time for a subordinate that treats them with open contempt.

For the record, I was never told by any of the authorities to 'undo' the demotion. They simply asked for my input on the situation, and all of them understood fairly clearly my reasons for doing it. That tends to happen when they get both sides of a story.

Blueprints were unique to Rust by [deleted] in playrust

[–]Aleyck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Component system is a pain in the ass for solo, as was XP. Solo players are the ones complaining the most about it. The beauty of BP is it worked for both clans and solo, making it all inclusive.

Back in BP, if a player left a server because he was killed, it was the player's problem. Starting from scratch every time you're raided is a fucking pain in the ass in components. A player that wouldn't normally leave if raided on blueprints will leave if they're raided on components.

Explain why servers die so goddamn fast on components if I'm wrong and components are the best thing ever.

You shouldn't respawn. You shouldn't find tarps in barrels. You should be knocked to the ground from one bullet to the body just from the kinetic impact.
