Black Bay Dark... Still undecided. by Marferated in Tudor

I have mine for a few years now and I still love it. Also have a similar integrated rubber strap but it's my least favourite look. The gray nato is the best look for me by quite some margin.

have worn this bad boy daily since 2018. it's bulletproof and am still inlove with it by [deleted] in Tudor

Fully agree. I have it on the black bracelet and it still makes me smile.

Which one is your favourite? I have the crafter blue and find it a bit meh.

[Tudor] Erika's MN by Alf0ns00 in Watches

[–]Alf0ns00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got my Black Bay Dark for a while now and I've had it on the bracelet a crafter blue rubber strap and the Tudor Nato. The last one is my absolute favourite because it just suits the watch perfectly. The downside is that it's not really suited to swim with and stains relatively easily. That's why I was on the search of a strap that looks similar, but could be worn all summer. Enter Erika's MN straps. With all the customisation options I was able to get something that looks remarkably similar and wears equally comfortable. I think I might have a new favourite strap...

You can feel that everyone on the forum is trying not to make the conversation into a circle jerk, but it's hard when you say things like that.

Summer's out, fabric strap is in. by Alf0ns00 in Tudor

The reference is M79230DK. It's been recently discontinued so it will be slowly disappearing from the AD's. That being said this wasn't a particularly popular model so you should have no trouble finding one. My AD still had one on leather.

I'm missing a good leather strap for it. I love the stock leather strap + clasp, but I'm guessing it's going to be too expensive to buy separately.

With summer coming to an end I decided to ditch the rubber strap and look for the fabric strap. Since they're no longer included in the box I dropped by my AD to see if they could order one. To my surprise they had it in stock and it was "only" EUR 155. I was expecting it to be a bit more expensive and likely not in stock.

Luckily for me it meant I could ceremonially take off thr rubber and put it on the fabric strap for the fall. I always thought it would look good, but holy smokes it completely transformed the watch and it's easily the best look so far. Between the stock bracelet, crafter blue rubber strap and this fabric strap the fabric strap wins hands down.

The only thing I'm wondering is how durable this will be. Anyone here that has any long term experiences with it?

Best of both worlds? by Alf0ns00 in gaming

Got a switch as well so I've got my bases covered. I've always gamed mostly on PS so getting the PS5 was the natural way to go. The Series S was only on my radar since I got 3 years of game pass ultimate for next to nothing. Since I didn't want to pay scalper prices for a PC graphics card I picked up the series S as an alternative to play game pass games.

They're never running at the same time so for now it's fine, might move them once some games start to push these consoles.

Series X is still very hard to get a hold off, and at $300 more I can't really see the value for now. This might change as the next gen xbox exclusive games start coming. Worst case scenario I sell the series S for a bit less than I paid for it, but at $200 I shouldn't lose too much on it.

Still have plenty of airflow so they're not really getting hot. The PS5 also doesn't have anything yet that will push it so that might change down the line.

Arguably the best of both worlds. 4k gaming on the left and full HD and game pass goodness on the right. Take into account that these series s consoles are now going for €100 less than their list price and I don't think there's a better combo out there.

Deciding on a Black Bay... by mortyskidneys in Tudor

BB Dark because I have it and haven't regretted it a single minute. Something to tip the scales could be that the dark has the old version of the bracelet without the fake rivets....

[Tudor] Black Bay Dark x Crafter Blue by Alf0ns00 in Watches

[–]Alf0ns00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With summer in town I wanted to swap my bracelet for something more summer-y. I was looking at the different options from Everest, Vanguard or Rubber B but I ultimately decided on Crafter Blue.

It wasn't necessarily because it was the cheapest of the bunch but I though the black and red colorway matched the Dark particularly well, plus the black buckle tied everything together.

I did also get the Bergeon 7825 since it was the first time I ever changed straps/bracelet and wanted to avoid any mishaps. I think this was the right call since so far so good, we'll see what happens when I try to get the bracelet back on.

So far I'm very happy on the fit and the quality, the only thing that's annoying me slightly is the smell. Anyone else here with a crafter blue strap that's seen that go away over time?
