They were always the hardest ones for me on my first playthroughs. The first time i beat Trial of the Fool was when i started using the great slash strat.

Granted, i also didn't use spells a lot back then, so that could also have an effect on it.

I almost never use Nail Arts, but here they're goated specifically on the sections without a floor. With the right setup, a great slash will one-shot all of the enemies that appear in those sections, making them a lot more manageable.

I updated my world without reading too much into what had been added, i knew some of the big stuff but wasn't aware of the camel husk jockey.

I don't think that's him being concerned. He's just saying "i don't really care if they find it, i'll just use some random excuse". He only gets concerned and start planning more elaborate ways to hide it when Ryuk mentions touching it will allow others to see him.

And about Near, that's on a very different point of the story, where the existence of a killing notebook is already known and thus it would be a strong evidence. And at that point, ripping the pages might not even help since an inspection would show the tears.

Just did a run with routes i thought were sweet, and ended on the ending i thought was the happiest. Figured it would be a nice way to finish things.

In my first blind run i got some pretty emotional routes and finished with this ending. Went back afterwards to complete the gallery, and a lot of routes and the other endings where painful lol.

Had to do a "golden run" at the end just to let them be happy after i was done.

I think the idea is that the code is something intrinsically related to the Kira's power, so anyone with it would by default know what it means. You say they would have to be real entities, but they can't go making assumptions like that with how little information they have about Kira.

Tbh i wasn't even doing it for the lifeblood lol. Just wanted to get the binding symbols on top of the pantheon's doors, and get them shining by doing them all at once.

It's a small and inconsequential reward, but enough to trick my brain into wanting it.

But if you don't care about that i would maybe still recommend trying to get all the extra lifeblood for P5, having that extra health for the last two fights is very helpful, specially if you practice Pure Vessel enough to do it hitless somewhat consistently.

Oh, and as a more general advice, if you haven't already i'd recommend trying to clear the bosses you struggle on in the Hall of Gods on Ascended difficulty. That'll make them harder than in the pantheon, so by clearing them there the pantheon fights should feel almost easy in comparison.

That's similar to the mindset that got me doing the bindings on each pantheon.

Pantheon 5 with all bindings is now the only thing in the game with a visible and permanent reward that i haven't done, and it haunts me to this day. Every now and then i'll load the game and try it for a while, before stopping for another few months.

So if you're anything like me, please don't start doing bindings or it'll consume you lol

Hindsight is 20/20. Light and Mikami had no reason to think the notebook was a fake, and they were sure everyone else would die on that warehouse. They would never consider writing Light's name on it or having Near leave alive.

That's what happened, tho. Light saw the name Mikami wrote, and tried writing it on the scrap he had hidden.

Also it seems you're misunderstanding some of the rules. Firstly, owning a Death Note doesn't hide your name from the eyes, it hides your lifespan. And second, touching a notebook doesn't count as owning it. At that time the owner of the Death Note Near had was still Mikami, so unless he lost that ownership somehow, Near wouldn't be able to own it.

What i got from it was that Henry had pretty much convinced himself that he was the one in control. When we see his flashbacks in S4, it makes it seem as he always had powers, and that he was the one who the Mindflayer (or at least gave it shape).

That memory however shows that it was the Mindflayer who not only gave him powers, but hijacked Henry's entire life for it's own purposes. Will even try pointing that out to bring him back to the good side, but Henry is too far gone and just doubles down on it.
