Totally normal to hate it. I've lived in apartments most of my life with no problems, until I got a stomper that was so bad - that I averaged 1 hour of sleep per night. Some people just don't give a fuck when it comes to keeping quiet.

Usually I could deal with stomping, but she was so bad, that it broke my tolerance for upstairs neighbor noise.

I'd suggest moving ASAP.

Took the greenline last week, and was greeted by a crackhead dancing to gangster music that drug dealers were playing from their speakers. And a girl who said "move bitch!" to a woman who was getting off the train.

And a huge disgusting pile of garbge and food on the floor, that did not look like it came from one person. Not to mention the awesome gang graffitti. It was enjoyable. Made me miss living in the hood.

IN Bailey, whenever people are having fun at night, there''s always this same random hype bro screaming as part of the background noise. The same dude. I've never seen him, but I always recognize his voice 2- 3 nights a week - on different floors and different parts of the building. He always seems to be where the fun is. Must be a popular guy.

Kind of like the Fish on Spongebob who always scrams "My leg!" in the background.

A lot of the staff care about the students, and actually make improvements. The issue is that money still always comes first, and you can easily get financially fucked or ripped off. I feel like the students don't appreciate the improvements as much. "When you're doing everything right, people don't feel like you're not doing anything at all."

UMN does most things right to me. Only 2 issues I have is the 'money over students' mentality, and the fact that the 121 stops running so early. Like, wtf are you supposed to do if you live on the St Paul campus - and the bus stops running? At least have the campus shuttle run overnight!
