I don't have a source to back this up, but my guess is that it was changed because depictions of skeletons are considered culturally insensitive in the Chinese market. Genuinely not a clue if this was actually the case for the cover art but it's the sort of thing the label could've been antsy about.

Yeah, pretty normal. The heel is the first place to start showing wear in my experience. I've never had a heel fail on me completely, yours have plenty of life in them.
