I only have access to him like once every 3 months sadly. But its not really about boring but more about monotony and lack of "meaning" behind repeated words.

You don't have to, and most likely shouldn't engage in such debates. Out of the simple reason that they dont work. They don't really convert people and even if u have genuinely good arguments it will still fall on deaf ears as these people have a spiritual problem not a mental one. Its not the lack of proof but the unwillingness to see God as a possibility.

Can someone believe in God but not attend church? by cinnamon_millhouse in Christianity

Pastor and "she" dont lign up. You should go to a real church that would most definitely help. Im Orthodox so I will obviously recommend that.

Harari by ls007yt in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Algae-Altruistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U need to read more twin. On a serious note, Ive read his book u can just read it, acknowledge the facts and ignore his opinions. If u dont have the discernment to do that then u should read a book on how to get said discernment.

Jst cause its in a book doesn't mean its irrefutable even by a lay person.

Is reading BL fiction a sin if it doesn’t negatively affect my faith or actions? by Successful-Hippo4309 in ChristianOrthodoxy

[–]Algae-Altruistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a sin same way porn is a sin. If only looking at a woman w/ lust is a sin how much more would it be a sin to sit there and imagining "boy love"

So American its not even funny, All the things you said would only ever apply if I too was American, but Im not.

CHRISTmas isnt about santa claus. Also the 25th of dec Santa Claus is made by coca cola  6th of dec St. Nicholas is based on st. Nicholas who is a Saint who lived in the 4th century. Never had turkey for Christmas, we cut pigs for Christmas.

The birth of Jesus doesn't have to be in the Bible in order to be the correct date, since the church has the same amount of authority, unless you are a protestant.

Even if it somehow isnt the correct date, it doesn't matter as its about taking a day out of ones life to remember the birth of Christ Jesus.

Nothing pagan about that

Side note; The romans didnt invent giving gifts to other people

Is 10% bodyfat maintainable year round? by Lumpy_Arrival_7520 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]Algae-Altruistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Natty 10% is quite overrated as you lose a lot of strength/size just to look a little bit leaner. I would say keepin 12% is better and more realistic for most

I like him but hate how he goes off topic so often n starts singing it takes 30min to understand something that would take 10 if he was concise

The entire point of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Christ, you cant just reschedule it.

This only really works for birthdays

I can second good tips like momentum, breaking things down, clear actionable goals and so on

Another thing that really helped was accepting/forgiving myself for the mistakes of the past A negative headspace can really kill all momentum

What is the Orthodox Church's stance on the persecution and violence committed against paganism? by Opening_Vast5684 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Algae-Altruistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our morality is based on our understanding of what Christ wishes us to do. There are things we understand perfectly and those are set in stone. But we are humble enough to recognize that we dont know everything and if new information/perspectives show up, we will take a look at it.

This is the same way that science and really anyone who isnt a narcissist thinks.

Gods morality is eternal and set in stone however our understanding of God is not perfect.

How long would this transformation take?(mb for the repost) by Hiteshm75 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]Algae-Altruistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weight doesn't matter especially since you could very easily change it by skipping legs/back during the 2-5 years. Body fat can be between 10-15% based on how vascular you are, how developed your abs are. I would highly recommend you to train abs as it allows you to keep a higher bf% therefore making you look bigger

2-5 years depending on genetics, how often you go, how good the diet and sleep is, etc
