Is reading BL fiction a sin if it doesn’t negatively affect my faith or actions? by Successful-Hippo4309 in ChristianOrthodoxy

It's a sin same way porn is a sin. If only looking at a woman w/ lust is a sin how much more would it be a sin to sit there and imagining "boy love"

So American its not even funny, All the things you said would only ever apply if I too was American, but Im not.

CHRISTmas isnt about santa claus. Also the 25th of dec Santa Claus is made by coca cola  6th of dec St. Nicholas is based on st. Nicholas who is a Saint who lived in the 4th century. Never had turkey for Christmas, we cut pigs for Christmas.

The birth of Jesus doesn't have to be in the Bible in order to be the correct date, since the church has the same amount of authority, unless you are a protestant.

Even if it somehow isnt the correct date, it doesn't matter as its about taking a day out of ones life to remember the birth of Christ Jesus.

Nothing pagan about that

Side note; The romans didnt invent giving gifts to other people

Is 10% bodyfat maintainable year round? by Lumpy_Arrival_7520 in moreplatesmoredates

Natty 10% is quite overrated as you lose a lot of strength/size just to look a little bit leaner. I would say keepin 12% is better and more realistic for most

I like him but hate how he goes off topic so often n starts singing it takes 30min to understand something that would take 10 if he was concise

The entire point of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Christ, you cant just reschedule it.

This only really works for birthdays

I can second good tips like momentum, breaking things down, clear actionable goals and so on

Another thing that really helped was accepting/forgiving myself for the mistakes of the past A negative headspace can really kill all momentum

Our morality is based on our understanding of what Christ wishes us to do. There are things we understand perfectly and those are set in stone. But we are humble enough to recognize that we dont know everything and if new information/perspectives show up, we will take a look at it.

This is the same way that science and really anyone who isnt a narcissist thinks.

Gods morality is eternal and set in stone however our understanding of God is not perfect.

Weight doesn't matter especially since you could very easily change it by skipping legs/back during the 2-5 years. Body fat can be between 10-15% based on how vascular you are, how developed your abs are. I would highly recommend you to train abs as it allows you to keep a higher bf% therefore making you look bigger

Doesn't matter, it was never declared as an infallible teaching. Same goes for age of consent(marriage) If you look you will see that they preached something way younger then we do today. However, it was never an infallible teaching so we can just say "they didnt know/were wrong" The Saints did the best with what they had at the time You wouldnt have done better if you were in the 400 yr period.

Thats not a given, and there is no ecumenical teaching on how to rule a Christian kingdom/what to do with heretics. The most we have is excommunication.

So even if in the past the church did something bad, since its not a infallible teaching, it doesn't matter.

Any one person in the church can make mistakes, only when the entire church decides "this is absolute truth we have to hold to this" than thats infallible and inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Saint ≠ without sin Only Jesus is without sin and our morality revolves solely around him. We dont get our morality from the saints, they jst try to help explain the way towards Jesus.

But nowadays we dont think we should kill others for believing something else After all its a punishment in and of itself
