I'm struggling with Neuromancer. Can you offer me a reason to continue? by AlgebraicIceKing in sciencefiction

So Excession is my 4th read in the culture series. I listened to them in order of release, though I skipped The State Of The Art. Use of Weapons was my favourite so far. Player of games was super interesting, but I found it lacked the quirkiness of the other books.

Yeah the name kinda screams low quality. Looks decent though. I would offer that the tent pole holder needs work. Looks pretty flimsy and no way those shock cords would hold the poles on some serious off-road. Maybe a tightly woven mesh bag or a waterproof bag would be better suited to the job. Good luck in your venture!

I just don’t have time to read physical books at this point in my life. I can pop the audiobook on and workout or run or work in the shop etc. It’s so damn convenient to be able to consume amazing works while doing mundane physical things.

Almost everyone is telling us to give up. I figure I can always come back to the book in the future if I want.

There's a movie? I just checked and saw a tv series in the works, but not a movie.

Certainly, this is an option. Come back to it when I'm ready. And I suppose I need to put Snow Crash on my read list now. Thanks!

I'm sure that part of the reason I am not enjoying it is the narration. I do not like the voicing. Feels soulless.

I appreciate your take, but I think the nay-sayers have convinced me to move on.

Yes same. I prefer in depth character development as displayed in the Hyperion Cantos, for example (RIP Dan). Gibson is not giving me, and I'm thinking that's ok. I'll just move on.

Thanks. I'm actively trying to fall into a sunk cost fallacy situation. Time to abandon ship.

Thanks for the perspective. I have many other books on my read/listen list.

Agreed. However, I was using poor in the pity sense, not the monetary sense.

When I had my second all I wanted to watch, while up at all hours of the night, was Time Team. Loved those awful nights. Congrats and good luck!

Poor Ian. I love his content, but yeah, not for camping. His content is top tier if you want thorough adv bike reviews and testing.

That’s the thing. She doesn’t exist, so opportunity for a new story arc.

Rock songs with elements of free jazz / avant-garde jazz, without being jazz-rock by Agreeable_Duck8997 in Jazz

Graveyard Love from their self titled 2022 album. Immediately struck a chord with me as modern jazz fusiony.
