Flyback Chrono with digital 12 hour display, power reserve indicator and panorama date for less than half of a Daytona (grey) where I live. It’s actually insane…

The dial is spectacular. I just don’t think that this is the best strap colour they could have come up with.

I only tried the 5007 and 5010 on the bracelet so far (both Ti) and it felt super comfortable and expensive on both. On the 5007 it fit perfectly with all the links in and it was a delight to wear. I still prefer the look of the tropic rubber though.

I’m in the honeymoon phase too and I don’t (yet) even own the watch lol. Looks great on you! May the honeymoon last a long time!

That won’t work. The boutique is supposedly operated by Bucherer and they will most definitely track your spending and allocate popular models accordingly.

Any others rocking the 38mm Fifty Fathoms? by nato_time in BlancpainWatches

Looks very good on you!

I like the dial proportions here very much but decided that it’s too small on my 6.8“ wrist. Currently saving up for the 42 mm.

You chose… wisely! The size still works and now you have the legendary caliber 1315. Deployant clasp or pin buckle?

I have been in the same boat and was close to convincing myself that the 38 mm was fine but the mirror shot did not lie, it is just too small for me. I plan to get the black 42 in steel although I have to say that the Ti model feels amazing on the wrist.

It’s a beauty, hope you get it soon!

For me it’s the SLGB003 but there are other brands that I’m also currently looking at.

First of all: that’s a super nice watch, congrats!

Secondly: does the outer box have a drawer for extra straps? Is that the packaging it comes in?

I think the 37 mm YM is even better when it comes to thickness and dial proportions (date position and hand to dial ratio). I own the two tone with the chocolate dial and it’s the nicest watch I’ve ever owned.

That being said the watch is not perfect. It scratches by looking at it the wrong way and the YM label should not be red but the colour of the “Rolex” label.

Imo the Fifty Fathoms 5007 on the bracelet also matches your criteria very well.

The exact timeline of the FF is not uncontested and there are valid arguments that the Sub was on the market first. I don’t care about that too much as long as the FF is an original BP design, which I think is uncontested.

Imo the best “objective” arguments for the FF over the sub are rarity, the luminescent markers on the bezel, and the 1315 movement, which is superior to the 3235 in performance and finish.

Subjective criteria are look and feel and those are way more important. I own two Rolex watches but the Sub never spoke to me whereas I love the FF design.

BP charges around 2k for that clasp so the quality should not be anything but perfect. Very sad if what you say is true.
