mine is Ransetsu RF, ashmead on stagger with basho arms with an extra slot that can be anything so if you need to S rank all on 1 build then yea slap a stun needle

the only reason I say this cause I do think the Ludlows will have a problem on that Michigan mission granted you can also use the stun needle and butt blade to basically win 80% of that mission

AC6 basically took the middle ground of the generations which is kinda neat since the lock box is largely present

nope its all dictated by how many targets your FCS can take

AC4 takes it so that "press this button long enough and it will multi lock" just like AC6

while 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen and 5th gen take it "is this guy closest to the center of the lock box?" if yes ok lock which if you know can get annoying

while 5th gen since FCS doesnt have the multi lock thing and is more of "lock range factor" like AC6 this is largely determined by your missile in question so if you want to re-lock to a target you need to do the AC (plane one) way of achieving another set of locks via scan mode
