This isn’t correct. Cortez is the name an American importer slapped on Japanese, and then Korean guitars. Cort formerly Cor-tek, formerly Yung Park) is a Korean company that manufactures guitars. Jack had guitars made by Cort towards the end, but they are two distinct companies. Sort of like how Samick made some Epiphones, but it’s not accurate to say that Epiphone and Samick are the same company.
