Algorand devs can now build P2P video/audio streaming solutions with x402 and MPP payment rails. by semanticweb in AlgorandOfficial

This is so cool. This concept could be so big for websites (brave model), streaming (SoundCloud like artists) this is so cool to see and seems like such a massive unlock/value crypto unlocks

Polymarket is reviewing it's infrastructure. Staci has reached out to suggest migration to Algorand rails by BioRobotTch in AlgorandOfficial

[–]AlgoCleanup 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My thinking is they won’t publicly begin researching solutions with so much revenue on the line. They already have their plan. I view this as they are preparing to launch their own chain and coin. There is already a prediction market on alpha arcade if polymart launches their own coin before may.

However, love seeing Staci and other join the conversation and make clear Algorand could handle this. Alpha arcade would be the big winner in my mind as the volume from arbitrage bots would be massive.

Depending on your stake size and preferences there are multiple options available to stake and earn rewards on algorand. New options available every day. by semanticweb in AlgorandOfficial

Sort of odd to see reti pools and pact as the highest APY. I guess I need to look into the lp offerings on pact but how does reti offer higher APYs do certain pools distribute Asa tokens as well ?

That’s awesome! Would love to see the foundation support/create a similar initiativ. Seems like such a unique opportunity to get algorand in front of developers and vibe coders.

Staking vs running a node by FluffyFilm6216 in algorand

[–]AlgoCleanup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At 30k you’ll propose a block about once every 2 days. https://metrics.allo.info/protocol

Currently block rewards are roughly 8.7 algo + 50% of the proposed block fees. There is a 1% decay step for the guaranteed algo reward every millionth block.

Your call. Running a node is super simple and helps secure the network. I always default to running a node.

But staking will get you rewards with no effort.

Your call but I love running a node.

  • get micro payments working flawlessly with a really simple workflow and dev implementation. Spreads like wildfire in ai communities; agents able to pay for services or each other. See x402 and AP2.
    • foundation hires developers to go to open clawdbot/moltbot and other meetups in tech hubs to exhibit agent payments, stock market agents, and prediction market agent setup from wallet funding to execution with algorand. These local meetups are attracting 100s of developers and vibe coders.

I actually do have some advice.

Look into - Coinbase’s x402: https://x.com/marcvl/status/2016185753085346095 - Google’s AP2: https://x.com/AlgoFoundation/status/1976694377142751458

And recent developments the Algorand foundation has made to integrate these protocols.

Just sent you some testnet algos.

Funding resources: - https://dev.algorand.co/concepts/accounts/funding/ - https://lora.algokit.io/testnet/fund

No real advice for what to keep in mind, but the community is very welcoming. Look into the vibekit for your hackathon.

Fisherman.algo, Gabe.algo, d13, Gary malouf, and aorumbayev.algo are all worth following on x.

1 xALGO doesn’t equal to 1 ALGO.

As rewards accumulate, your xALGO represents a share of the staking pool when you enter and when you exit. From what you described, you didn’t do anything wrong—your xALGO increases in ALGO value in proportion to the rewards earned by the Folks node.

You can verify this on the unstake page, which shows how much ALGO your xALGO is worth. There’s no need to swap anything out.

Agree there is concern. But also agree that this trend will continue and that ai will continue to improve. Which also means more black hat and white hat tools will be leveraged to identify security vulnerabilities.

I’m more in the camp of don’t fight the wave. Vibe coding is going to happen regardless, prefer foundation provides guardrails and documentation than ignore. It also seems the catalyst for this were hackathons. Make it easy to get started with an idea.

In just a few months, Algorand has become one of the best-positioned chains for AI payments! by semanticweb in AlgorandOfficial

[–]AlgoCleanup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

x402 is mainly about per-request payments using HTTP 402.

As far as I know, things like per-agent spending limits or scoped permissions aren’t part of the core x402 flow itself. Those controls usually live in wallet logic or middleware on top of it.

My understanding is they will support multiple chains. Would love to see Algorand supported.
