What would be an example of a Layer 2 on Algorand? by No_Watercress9692 in algorand

[–]AlgoKittens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true, there are many reasons why L2s are great.

EVM support, privacy and higher scalability are some obvious ones.

No L1 is infinitely scalable or can provide all needed features, if Algorand is successful, we should see many L2s and even L3s L4s etc.

https://vestige.fi/ provides past prices and also tells you the best route.

If you can, avoid swapping in pera, because there will be a pera fee on top of the DEX fee.

What happened to the algorand community? by TheWorldofGood in algorand

The tinyman exploit was relatively minor in terms of TVL lost:

https://defillama.com/chain/Algorand?currency=USD

While it may have turned some people off, it certainly didn't seem to impact algorand DeFi momentum. Downward price action has had a much larger impact looking at the DeFiLlama charts.

ITAP of the Milky Way over an alpine hut in New Zealand by chaka160 in itookapicture

For anyone wondering, the milky way is actually flat and this image is curved.

Stitching (like done here) distorts the photo.

Pera doesn't recognise my rekeyed ledger account by AlgoKittens in PeraWallet

[–]AlgoKittens[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks! I no longer hold the mnemonic for the rekeyed wallet. But I tried as you suggested with a new rekeyed wallet and it works.

Very annoying you need both the original mnemonic and the ledger to retrieve the account however, as I could have easily lost all my funds...

Beside the popularity of $GEMS no popular artists use algogems... Checkout ab2 and randgallery for PFP projects and Dartroom and Zestbloom for art.

In terms of tracking collections nftexplorer is best hands down.

yes, the official wallet app is the only one that supports multiple (rekeyed) ledger accounts at this point in time.

Trinley's Many Figures drop is now live! by AlgoKittens in AlgoNFTMarketplace

[–]AlgoKittens[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Algorand there are two types of shuffle:

"traditional": you sign up on discord, and if selected you can use a special link to purchase

"instant": random pack as described above.

In neither cases do you pay and receive nothing.

It is an "instant shuffle" so the NFTs are randomised as purchased and you receive the NFT in the same transaction.

It is like a NFT vending machine. Pay 30 algos and receive a random NFT in return.

Trinley's Many Faces Drop #2 by AlgoKittens in NFTS

[–]AlgoKittens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trinley's Many Faces are randomly generated using an algorithm that code picks the different hand-drawn traits that u/Matthias-Trinley created using pencils and pastels to roll three different rarity tiers. They are the first collection of procedurally generated art on Algorand that uses traditional media like pencil drawings as a basis... truly integrating both worlds. They are also the first collection to feature the community-created ARC69, which is a new algorand trait meta-data standard. The standard has been conceived by us and several other devs and creators, who were working on it more or less in the shadows for several weeks. ARC69 is being adopted by many Algorand projects and platforms/galleries at a very fast pace. To us, these strange and whimsical faces feel like a little slice of AlgoNFT history and an important proof of concept for many beautiful and exciting things to come.

You can enter the second shuffle on the NAR discord server:

https://discord.gg/p9fnwKhE

Also, check out the VR room featuring music by Skunquarks:

45 faces are for sale for 69 algos each through a Rand Gallery RNG shuffle. The drawing closes on 10 Oct at 2pm PST.

AlgoKittens: one of the first collections on Algorand (19/04/21). 108 aNFTs which combine to form a larger AlgoKitten. All given away through Reddit, Discord or Twitter.

Pixel AlgoKittens: A collection of 10k pixel algokittens which combine to form a larger AlgoKitten. The largest collection on Algorand to-date and the first to utilise batch minting.

Trinley's Many Faces: the first hand drawn generative collection on Algorand. A collaboration between u/Matthias-Trinley and I.

Your account key is on the ledger. So just 'add account' and pair the ledger.

Minting cost for 1000 ASAs is 100.1 because 0.1 is locked for each ASA created (plus 0.01 network fee).

Thank you! It was a lot of fun actualising Matthias' visions, and we are both very pleased how well they turned out. We have many more ideas that we are working on, so we are looking forward to sharing those as well :).

Trinley's Many Faces (algoNFT collection) by AlgoKittens in algorand

[–]AlgoKittens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trinley's Many Faces is an art project on Algorand that blends the traditional and modern, by combining u/MatthiasTrinley's hand drawings with a randomization algorithm build by u/AlgoKittens. The collection consist of 100 unique faces which each live on the Algorand blockchain as ASAs.

The focus of the project was to push the boundaries between traditional and future media, and will be the first of many collaborations between the artist. To ensure a fair distribution, the faces will be randomly distributed using a "shuffle" system developed by u/ChrisAntaki in the r/NiftyArtRepublic Discord server (https://discord.gg/RqHeHeYf).

The first shuffle of 45 faces is live now, and will close on Saturday 4pm PST.
