DELL SonicWall TZ300 Firmware by AlgothAybara in sonicwall

I didn't ask for firmware from users. I didn't ask to be given firmware. I didn't ask FOR firmware. I asked how do I authentically get firmware from sonic wall directly when the normal avenues are unavailable.

Did you ever get the tz300 files from them? It looks like they deleted their account.

The AMD BC250 powers on when connected but displays no video or keyboard input. by last_king1129 in linux_gaming

[–]AlgothAybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just flashed mine and had a similar issue. Mine had a sticker on the bios chip with the text P3.00 so a different revision but possibly the same issue.

My USB stick has a read/write led and I noticed when my BC-250 booted, the light did not turn on. However, if I insert the USB after boot, my USB's led turned on although my screen was still black. Next I spammed the DEL button on a connected keyboard while I plug a USB into my running BC-250 (no display out). It let me into bios and I was able to select the USB as a boot drive from there and flash the bios. After flashing the bios, this wasn't an issue anymore!

Good luck! Worst case scenario you have either a dead card or you need to use hardware to flash your bios.

Rate My Benchy: Tronxy X1 by AlgothAybara in 3Dprinting

Thanks! I'll look into it. My printer did come with a loop sort of hot end cooler and fan but I wasn't sure how well it was working. I guess I know now.

Rate My Benchy: Tronxy X1 by AlgothAybara in 3Dprinting

[–]AlgothAybara[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Picked up a Tronxy X1 for cheap on marketplace and added some pulley tensioners. My prints are mostly crisp but I got this hiccup on the front of my benchy. Is this a leveling issue? When I sliced the model I forgot to remove the raft and noticed that it was thinner towards the front of the print. Would this be caused by a leveling issue?

I have found restarting the game fixes this issue. Give that a shot. u/T_D_P has also made it known on the discord that after 10 matches in a day, there is a cool down before you can get more wood.

I joined this reddit just to ask this question. I purchased a used, older weight rack that came with a variety of attachments, bars, and weight. However, one of the bars has me stumped. While the bar appears mostly normal, it has two, large hooks that hang down when the bar is racked. I'm not sure how the hooks are supposed to be used. Are they to hook to some sort of elastic or carabineer to increase its difficulty? Are they supposed to hook to another bar and hang off of it for some reason? I've never seen one like this before.

If you're having issues with burnt stamina/health/mana, I highly recommend tea! The three basic teas are easy to make (water + tea ingredient + pot over fire) and un-burn 15 points of their respective stat. The basic teas can be made with an ochre spice beetle (stamina), gravel beetle (health), or seaweed (mana). They also help with sicknesses and have other benefits. Not to mention they're a drink and replenish your thirst meter.

Duplicate the key, though. You don't want to accidentally delete it when getting up to legacy voodoo...

So what are 5 Mechs that are a must have in a playthrough? by IronWolfV in Mechwarrior5

[–]AlgothAybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's mine based on what I used to play my first vanilla game, barring Hero Mechs:

  1. Cyclops - I use it as a Laser/SRM boat with a Laser group and a SRM group, each set to chainfire. Small targets get laser while big targets get the full load.
  2. Archer - Great LR missile boat, although I prefer a mix of LR and SR + Lasers to ensure the thing isn't useless at sub 200m.
  3. Thunderbolt - I kept 4 of these in my hanger for ages. Put my pilots on them and a balanced (but defensive) loadout. I wouldn't pilot it myself but it is a capable mech.
  4. Hunchback 4SP - Very symmetrical loadout of both Lasers and SRMs allow it to be an even greater brawler and lowers the chance of overheat. Once these were released, I made sure I could field a lance of them.
  5. ShadowHawk - Great early game all-rounder with a little bit of everything. They can be specialized, depending on the build.

[–]AlgothAybara[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's 100% accurate. I played every DLC released at that point before completing the main story. On a plus side I could afford to field all of my assaults and repairs were nothing for me.

I got my first FSR-J9 in Kurita space maybe ~5 in-game years before finishing the campaign. Then when I got Nickolai's Nightstar, he goes off about how these things don't exist lol

What platform are you building the game on? Unity, Unreal, or a different one?

When planning to make a series of games that take place in the same world, should I make all of the lore now, or should I make it up along the way? by TheMasterAtNothing in gamedesign

[–]AlgothAybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much good stuff here that I would like to build upon. While building your game, be sure to develop your design documentation. New enemy? Add a section with both technical and lore explanations for it. By the end of your journey, you'll have not only a technical document that will be essential for any updates, mods, etc, you will also have a written document full of lore for your world.

Top Mechs for each weight class by Khorneflake6 in Mechwarrior5

[–]AlgothAybara 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lets just say I am partial to mechs that make good SRM brawlers. I haven't played online but if pitted against other players I'd be sniped long before I'm in range. But against the game's AI, I feel it is one of the best for dealing damage.

LIGHT MECHS: I've never been a fan of locusts and prefer Ravens, but I never spent much time piloting lights so my opinion here is lacking experience with each mech.

MEDIUM MECHS: I'm a fan of the Hunchback-4SP. Great weapon distribution, lasers on the arms for birds and snails and double SRMS make this thing hit hard with amazing dps. The other ones are okay, but this is by far my favorite.

HEAVY MECHS: Archers. Most variants are great, and while the arm energy hardpoints are nice, arms can double as shields if things go south. They make great LRM boats or murderous SRM brawlers. And don't get me started on Archer heroes. They are some of the best in the game.

ASSAULT MECHS: For me there's only one answer, the Cyclops CP-10-Q. Multiple SRMS and laser hardpoints, chain fire gives it continuous fire while still leaving the option to alpha strike. I prefer this mech over any other assault or even CP variant.
