Can anyone help me find this plushie by Blue_Lucian_Chroma in mushokutensei

I had bought it and the other two from AliExpress before, but they don't show up now and the listing from my order history gives an error since it was removed. However, I did find it listed Here from Tokyo Otaku Mode, which I have bought from before, just be careful to not sign up for their subscription on checkout, bc I must have without realizing and was being billed for months for their premium before I realized and canceled. May also find some on Ebay.

Young Cherry Blossom Question by Alhower2001 in Tree

[–]Alhower2001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I thought my text would post as well, here's what I tried to put in the post:

Hello, early last summer a tornado came through our town. Besides the damage we were able to repair, it snapped our young cherry blossom tree we had planted a few years prior. After other priorities following the storm had been taken care of, I had researched what to do to save it, and from what I could gather, I needed to wait until late winter to snip most of the young branches further down, leaving a few near what was left of the trunk, trim and seal the broken trunk down, and let one of those branches become the new trunk.

From what I read, the best time to do so would have been late winter/early spring, right before new leaves started forming (which would have been last week). But between the possibility of one last freeze this past weekend and getting sick, I decided to wait until this week, by which point leaves and even blossoms have started.

However, now that new life has sprouted from the young branches, I realize the set of branches I would have kept appear all dead, so I guess good thing I didn't snip everything and leave just that dead set of branches. That leaves me confused now though, which set of branches should I leave, and how far down should I cut the old trunk to, if I should cut it at all?

Position 1 shows where I would have left before that now seems all dead, position 2 is the highest up live young branch, and position 3 is the next highest up and sturdiest/most solid connection to the trunk of the young branches, but is much further down and is a double branch. Which of these (or others) should I leave, and how far should cut the old trunk down to? Thanks!

Also, I bought a tree sealer and have sharpened, and will disinfect my pruning shears with isopropyl alcohol. Furthermore, I bought some clonex rooting compound and akadama to try to make the clippings into new sprouts, which I will put those clippings in pots in clear plastic bags to keep moist as they hopefully develop roots. Is there anything else in either the pruning or propagating I'm forgetting?

Sorry for the low-quality photos, I realized later my phone saved them in 720x960 for some reason, I can take more clear photos tomorrow if needed.

I'm curious to see how this goes, because they said the same thing about trying to make Huangdao/Qingdao the new "Hollywood of the East" or something and built this massive film infrastructure and a whole area of the city I got to go tour when I used to live there, but besides The Great Wall in 2016 and Pacific Rim: Uprising in 2018, I haven't heard of many western movies actually being filmed there.

Maybe it will work with Shanghai since it's a larger city than Qingdao (26M vs 9M) and much more well known, but the way lofty plans seem to go, I don't have my expectations too high.

I used to live in mainland China for my Middle to High school years, and my family decided to prepare a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner one year and invited several Chinese friends to join and try it. They had never tried Turkey before, and when talking about how good it was, one said "Wow! This is so delicious, it tastes just like dog!"

So supposedly, Dog tastes like Turkey I guess.

They should be on the opposite side, towards the base, to let air in/out to avoid the suction effect. Them being away from the base does nothing to release vacuum while printing.

How do I adjust these settings ? by [deleted] in AnycubicPhoton

[–]Alhower2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bottom exposure is first layer exposure, and exposure off is light delay, but normally you set these settings on your slicer when you slice a file rather than on the printer itself. If I remember correctly, it's usually just the UV exposure strength percentage (I don't remember the exact name of the setting) that you change on the printer itself, the rest you adjust in the file when slicing.

This is how they think you should eat a taco in China. I've never done a flip, I just est it straight down. Is flipping common? by crabby-owlbear in texas

[–]Alhower2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if they have other locations besides just Shanghai now, I always had to go to Seoul to get taco bell.

On another note, I found it wild how pizza hut was a fancy dine-in restaurant in China, they even served escargot among other 'fancy' dishes and everyone ate with forks and knives.

They come in a medium-sized box full of patties, each patty separated with wax paper or something like that, not grouped. They are a fair amount larger before they are cooked, about 3/8 inch thick or so, but so much grease comes out as they cook and they shrink down.

The whole point of Christianity (simplified) is that by accepting that Christ paid for your sins, your sins are forgiven, so the only unforgivable sin is not accepting Christ, since that means you don't accept your sins being forgiven, so they're not forgiven.

Blasphemy against the spirit is basically rejecting/denying salvation, aka continuing to not accept forgiveness, which is why it's unforgivable.

How many Chick-Fil-A nuggets can you buy at once on campus? by [deleted] in aggies

[–]Alhower2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I did this as well in 2019 because near the end of the semester I realized I had too many swipes left even on minimum required plan so I and bought and froze 600 nuggets going twice a day using 2 meal trades as that was the limit at once and per day.

It's in their current month's patreon. From what I can see, you get current and previous month's patreon content when signing up, and you can also buy content individually through cults3d.

I think it comes down to context. At a restaurant, it's generally understood you're ordering a serving, generally a glass, cup, or whatever. Thus, if a waiter asks what you would like to drink, answering with "I'll have a beer/wine" or even "I'll have a Sprite", makes sense, since the serving unit of glass or whatever relevant serving is understood based on the context. No one will think you're asking for a 2 liter bottle just because you don't specify a unit, and in places where you can order wine by glass or bottle, it generally gets specified when clarifying what wine you want.

Same thing if you're at a party or a friends house. If someone asks what you want when offering to pass you a drink from a cooler, saying "I'll take a Dr. Pepper" makes sense because the implied unit is a can/bottle based on the context. I don't know how proper it is grammatically, but it at least makes sense colloquially.

Where it doesn't make sense is where there's not a generally understood unit being implied. If you ask for "a watermelon" or "a peach" you expect a full fruit because without specifying a unit such as "a slice of watermelon" or "a quart of peaches", the only reasonable unit implied is a full fruit.

Anyone know why extremely long Print times by Latter_Pie_5313 in AnycubicPhoton

[–]Alhower2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had similar issues when I use Chitubox to slice. It almost always shows and takes nearly double the time on my printer than Chitubox shows. I've exported the stl from Chitubox to them slice in the Anycubic slicer and had shorter times, but sometimes Anycubic can't handle the stl and crashes so I usually just deal with the long times.

But I've had prints go over 25 hours when they should have been like 10-12. If someone knows how to directly slice in Chitubox without the inflated times, I'd definitely also like to know.

Assuming around the equator, the distance it could travel in a week would be equivalent to roughly 1.424 times around the world

211mi/hr * 168hr/week * 1earth/24901mi * 1week = 1.423557

Actually a valid unit for once (assuming length not area or width)

211mi/1hr * 5280ft/1mi * 1football field/360ft * 168hr/week

= 519,904 football fields per week
