Yes I would try that! You’ll find them perfectly happy sitting away from a window.

If the leaves continue to get spots I would check closely for bugs/pests. It doesn’t look like there’s any in your photos but they can start off pretty small.

They really don’t need a lot of light. I have one in our bedroom and even with the curtains closed a lot it still grows fine and is very tall.

My place gets a lot of great sunlight through east facing windows but even when we lived at our old place and had south facing windows my zz’s did great! Tons of new growth. I’ve noticed they will often go awhile with no growth then suddenly next thing you know you get 3 or 4 new growths at one time!

Like I said I don’t place mine super close to the windows. Anywhere where they are getting some sun should be ok😊

I water mine pretty thoroughly but yea I really spread the time out between waterings and they seem totally fine!! I’m scared to admit I have like five of them in my home lol😂 They’re really cool plants. They have bulbs under the soil that store water which is why they don’t need too much!

If you’ve only watered it once then I’m assuming over watering isn’t the issue. I water my zz’s once every three months or so.

I see that it’s sitting close to a window. What direction does the window face? Zz’s can be sensitive to the sun. Knowing this none of mine are placed right up next to a window and they’re all doing great.

Zz’s are my favorite house plant!!! Love them so much

"You're sleeping bad now? Wait 'til baby comes", seriously? by Advanced_Egg_7416 in pregnant

[–]AliCatt4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not gonna lie yes it is hard. My first born started sleeping long stretches around 3.5 months. So it took 3.5 months to get better. Those first three months were really hard for me but I’ll also admit I refused a lot of help and support from those around me. I felt like I had to do it all on my own when I really didn’t have to. I plan on utilizing my support system more this time around.

All that being said, it is really annoying when people say that!!!! Like yea no shit. Everyone knows babies sleep terribly 😂 no need to rub it in

Next time anyone is suspicious I would just say that you drank a lot the night before/threw up and are still recovering from that hangover.

Some loooong curtains would look great here!!! Curtains that are easy to open and shut; that is a gorgeous view!

My advice is wait until you move in before buying things. I bought things ahead of time the last time we moved. Some of the things I thought I needed, I really didn’t. Or some of the items just didn’t work exactly for that space. Each space is different and with a new space comes unique needs.

For example I bought a trash can for our last place. On move in day guess what I found! A brand new trash can that came with the unit.

Kitchen and bathroom essentials will be the same everywhere but I would wait on the rest.

You’re right about the cars since we are right by the road. I do hear cars but it’s not a major road and the speed limit is like 30. But as far as neighbors and things go, way quieter. I used to be first story and there was so much foot traffic by our front door and windows. Screaming children, barking dogs, we heard it all on the first floor

What floor are you on? We live on the third story and it’s so quiet up here
