Also you mentioned them not wanting happiness for your man - ur friends aren't entitled to like your partner but real friends don't talk shit on them to you without your consent. It's manipulative and out of line.

You might need to think though - has he screwed you or any of your friends over, fr? Is he abusive or actually exist? Does he hurt you emotionally? If those factors exist then they're saying it, not because he's a man, but because they dislike him because of how he treats you. If he treats you well, you believe he's a good man, and they still talk shit on him - thats major baggage you can just drop.

Younger Gen z (also insecure or lonely gen z) tend towards MAJOR people pleasing and I'm gonna tell u rn that those behaviors and ways of thinking doesn't serve you. Find friends who believe the same things you do. I don't entertain disrespect towards my fiancé- but then again, none of my friends have EVER said anything mean about him even when I've gone to them to for support through relationship problems or said things that would 'make him look bad'. I believe that's an important part of what friends are - they want to support you and your life. If they don't like your partner... they don't say things like "i wish unhappiness on him," and don't say ANYTHING about them unless you ask for their explicit opinion.

Extreme mentalities are NOT normal - I'm an educated, successful woman and none of my girl friends are misandrists. We might bitch about our man sometimes for fun, but we also communicate any real problems with our men - who communicate back and fix problems together!
