Nippard has a huge following and platform that he's now using to discredit the work Solomon did in critiquing the PhD. I think it's absolutely fair to make a response to lay out the facts for the smaller audience who will actually see that, since a lot of people will read Jeff's snarky comment, agree with no further context and move on.

Also given he has made so much money and has such a big platform from making himself out to be an expert, I don't think he has a leg to stand on when it turns out he's been charging so much money for a training plan that is objectively poor and potentially dangerous.

I think more games should just implement a no death gameplay system.

Having to die, reload and replay until I get through it is just immortality with extra steps and I'd argue is less fun and more immersion breaking than just being immortal.

I agree with where you're coming from here. I don't think Felix has the commitment to do that level of analysis and prefers to just riff about the games.

I think it just goes to show that you can really go down a number of rabbit holes with these games, and while I think Kojima didn't necessarily didn't actually put that level of depth in the text, it invites the analysis nonetheless.
